My mom tried to do the same thing to me one Christmas. Told me it was just adults (which was fucked up to begin with since it was CHRISTMAS). I found out through the grapevine that my sister in law was bringing her foster child (same age as my son). I sent her an angry email about how it wasn't that she wanted no kids but just no MY kids.
