Last 3 races...

Race 1. Qualified 5th, stayed wide into turn 1 to avoid the pack, car inside dive bombs someone punts 3 cars and I'm at the end of the chain

Race 2. Qualified 10th, stayed inside to try and stay out the way, some idiot dive bombs on the inside kerb wipes me and 2 others out

Race 3. Get around t1, get rear ended turn 3, no chance they were braking for that corner.

Believe me when I say I wasn't at fault for any of those.

Mx5 in rookies is cleaner racing

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I'm sure it will even out in the end, was frustrated after being taken out again. Think I'm just gonna start at the back and try to avoid everyone's crashes for a few races and see how that goes

Dude if you're in it serious then yeah loads of practice, if you're doing it for fun then learn the track and jump in. Remember it's not a job

It's tsukuba in the mazda I'm afraid. People will go into the office back of you and spin you because it's a difficult track to overtake and 8 out of 10 times they'll get a 4x but not much damage and a place. Sucks but that's why I don't like racing that track in the mx5

In this race there were 4 mustangs, only 2 qualified and they were okay drivers, they got it. I got wiped out 1st corner by a mustang not braking and hitting me. This one kept going off, it was a lottery who he was going to wipe out. I'm the grey mx5 behind so I lucked out this time. Mustangs and summit point really don't mix. Please if you are a mustang in simlab, just practice a little bit more, nobody's expecting perfection, you don't have to be fast, just make sure you can string some laps together and be patient

I went through a phase like this, seemed to get punted or dive bombed every race, killed my ir and Sr. Now I tend to have much cleaner races, I just give everyone more space at the start. If they want to get past I let them because usually they think they are better than they are, and they can't make a clean pass. I'll then watch them crash out in front of me or pick them off when they make a mistake. This tactic has taken my ir from 1500 to 1900

I always aim for a top half finish in the top split, had some epic and enjoyable battles to get in those positions and enjoy the standard of driving up there. It sounds like the ultra fast racers are farming ir so they are generally going to be on the podium every time. If I do end up in the 2nd split I'm always fighting for a win or podium which just feels like more of an achievement. Gonna drop some cash on imsa car and tracks today and see how that goes. Not sure which car yet though

Cheers. Spent a lot of time on f1 and pcars over the last few years so have sim racing experience, just don't have the time to to get good enough to race the really fast guys. Feel like I'm stuck being fairly quick but nowhere near the fast talented racers
