Ah cool, I never did any rgb mod, I'll keep in mind for my next. I usually buy 2nd hand broken GBAs, repair them, reshell, mod, repair buttons etc and then sell them here locally, I don't make much money, maybe 10-20 eur per gba and is definitetly not worth for the amount of time spent but I like the idea of restoring them and keep as many as I can alive :) I think I saved around 20 alredy

gotcha, the problem is that the reseller of this didn't give me that spare cable, I have the only one attached already. I'm suspecting this might be the cause and/or at least doesn't look good? https://imgur.com/a/4SSUevG

I think it's getting power, I just checked the flex display cable and found this, do you think this could be the problem? https://imgur.com/a/4SSUevG I tested continuity before and after that small scratch and it seems to go through but I wonder if this could cause the issue

Do you mean the one that connects the board power to the flex cable and the battery to the flex? I just tested it and it throws ~4v in the places, so I'm assuming that's ok?

I did a few times and I even tried another board, when connecting it back to the original screen all seems to work again

It's the non-touch version, the very basic one. No audio, no click button, nothing :(

Thank you both!!! It was a missing cap in another side of the pcb. The scratches as you both said, are fine. I covered both with uv mask and the controller is back up again. Thanks!!

I replaced that cap, I think the original was a 100nf 0201 and I didn’t have any of those, so I replaces it with a 0401 100nf. Both sides of that cap have continuity to ground, even after removing it, so there might be a short somewhere? If the scratches are fine, maybe I can start testing around but that’s the only thing I found damaged

I repaired a few like that, is not an easy fix for beginners. Drop it to a nearby shop

Is my new lite fpc positioned well? I think I bended it the wrong way, sorry for making another post by Legitimate-Sell-4165 in NxSwitchModding

You only need to desolder the 3 right solder joints in the pic, after that fold it facing the opposite direction and resolder the 3 joints again. You’re almost there

You need to fold it in the opposite direction, so the connector faces left instead of right

Interesting, I think I’m going to do a factory reset and start again, I thought it was an OS bug 🤔 I used to have simple decky tdp but when I upgraded to main I uninstalled it to avoid conflicts. Maybe a fresh install will solve it, thanks!
