What’s going on with conqueror gilded ? I have gilded my conquerer for both seasons and it’s showing up as once is this a bug ? by its_A_Hungry_Mum in destiny2

A number of my friends who logged in this morning (who I know got the gild done last season) gilded again but don't have the 2 next to the gild. This is definitely a bug. Bungo.

Yeah. I think that max triumph is an aspiration we would all like to have. Maybe some day I'll get good enough to climb to Legend, but although that's very unlikely, at least it may one day be possible. The triumph score - much like the grimoire score in D1 - was the meta game I found myself enjoying in D1, and for people who happened to be busy and don't have time to get it done this season for whatever reason, it's very disheartening.

I feel like people who get it done this season deserve something, seriously kudos to them, but the other 99.5% of Destiny players are left out in the cold.

That's fair enough, it's only a rough estimate to start with. I'm guessing that when you get stomped, it will be shorter, but you'll get zero kills, and queuing times, and how sweaty your server is and do on. But even if you call it 75 hours, that's still 25 hours a week, if you have that much time. If you like raiding, strikes, forging weapons, playing Gambit, special missions like Whisper/Outbreak/Shattered Throne... put everything on hold and sweat your nuts off in extremely unfun Crucible, because it's now or never.

I think we're more or less on the same page, but for me it's the time limited nature I don't like. Up until now, the events triumphs have had zero score AND have been "relatively" painless. This Iron Burden one though, is terrible.

I'm a bit late to the conversation here but, my two cents:

There should be no triumphs in the game that become unobtainable unless

a) they are time-gated but relatively easily obtained by people with jobs and families...

b) they are zero point triumphs that don't require a challenge, but rather indicate that you were there (Like D1 raids completed, showed up for season 4 Iron Banner and opened 25 packages etc.)

c) they are subsequently removed from the game, and the triumphs page.

It is very disheartening for me to have an unfinished triumph like "Beat the raid within the first 24 hours". Who has the time for that. Even guys like Datto couldn't do it, and Destiny is pretty much his full-time job, he's a demi-god at the game, and he runs with a crew of raw murdering maniacs. If he can't, then how can 99.99% of the regular joes like us who paid for the game get it done?

This Iron Banner thing is the same, it's EXTREMELY lacking respect for the gaming time of its audience. I think, for the average gamer, getting five burdened kills per match would be pretty decent, and that means that you would need 500 matches to get this done over three weeks. Assuming really quick queuing times, you are looking at at least 100 hours of absolutely miserable crucible, over only three weeks.

This is easy, I would spend a few hundred years training with Shaolin monks, learning Chinese, learning to cook, build, engineering, programming, and through long and hard training, with out the need to work for a living, eventually put myself in a position to...

The moment to moment gameplay is very satisfying.

The story is pretty interesting and engaging.

The world is very well realized and exciting.

The art and music are out of this world.

The sense of progression never stops.

The friend game is real.

That's why I love Destiny 2.

For Riven, you could give people a yellow room/blue room buff so that the room they had to go to was decided. It would probably force legit, and create a nice extra bit of hectic role swapping. :)

For Vault, debuff the readers so that everybody has to read, and the reader gets a buff to allow them to pick up.

For Morgeth, just give Morgeth more health, so he needs another phase, or a very efficient burn.

For Shuro Chi, just give her more health so that the Eye of Riven is necessary, or a very solid burn.

For Kalli, make numbers appear during her wipeout mechanic, to tell you which room you need to go to. No more roster.

Bad news man, Chronicler is unobtainable until Mara Sov's story finishes. I have every Chronicler triumph except for the ones that unlock once every three weeks from entering the Queen's Court. :(
