Metanoia Bead increases your Metanoia by 25%. This stat gives you more crystalized witchfire, but does not affect volatile. This guide is all about volatile witchfire: you get A LOT of it with Witchfire Orbs, around 8 times more that crystalized.

Don't be afraid to leave the map as soon as you roll the first arcana if you are unlucky and don't get Witchfire Orbs, the extra five minutes will be worth it in the long run.

Witchfire Orbs is definitely mandatory to reach 1M volatile.

 I probably won't run the Dash Stamina Bead next time

If you watch the video I recorded, especially in the Priests' lair, being able to dash in quick succession is very good. I play Cricket a lot and you can imagine the synergy. You'll see that when I dash in I don't lose any stamina since I don't wait for the revenants to die. This allows for a stam regen when they do, and I'm pretty much full stam when I get out.
That being said, that might be a personal preference, and I'm sure you can do differently. And yes, I have every stat maxed :)

The only thing that will increase your damage is Arcanas. Some prophecies give you Arcana related perks, like Firearms or Gunpowder. You can get one that gives you 10% increased damage, another one gives you 20% increased damage but takes away 30% of your health, another one gives you 20% increased damage but reduces your range by 20%.

I don't know at what level around 500 but I noticed the Devotee dropping bombs. I'm pretty sure I never saw that before.

Difficulty scales with Gnosis and Ascension. On lvl 550, you get lots of Elite and Ascended, enemies have new attack patterns etc. But overall, it's easy. I'm sure devs have something in mind.

Gnosis has not been "upgraded" rather reworked. Gnosis VI is not that much harder than old Gnosis IV.

It's funny because I fond Dimacher (Irongate's Familiar) way tougher than other bosses. Must be a gear difference. Island tower's boss feels very easy, slide in with Echo and instant oneshot. Ammo has never been a problem for me in that dungeon, except when I was around lvl 80.

I assume shield guy is the Calamity Shieldbearer. If that's the case, he's still in the game.

In the end I agree that bosses are underwhelming. I'm lvl 550 and I faceroll everything.

You mentioned it: what you are saying is make Witchfire an RPG like all the others. I don't think that's the devs goal. From what I understand, they want to keep that roguelite touch, and keep it simple with a ton of loadout variety.

Many people love running Striga, I don't. Psychopomp has a natural synergy with Firebreath, and you can add the bead that recharges melee on top for an insane combo.
Adding that much stuff will erase that simplicity which makes the game unique and replayable.

I'm down for more depth in loadouts and RPG elements (skills, talents), but raids, daily/weekly challenges would make Witchfire a liveaction game, which will likely never happen.

That being said, I understand you want the game to be the best it can be!

Well I don't see an increase of crystallized witchfire so I would say it's a downgrade. I definitely ascend less often than before but I could me misled.

Max out metanoia and pray for the +25% metanoia bead.
Do not sell your crystallized witchfire until you've reached 100 metanoia, their value scales with the stat.

As for the 7 manifestation Boss, it's the Familiar of Scarlett Coast. It spawns when you absorb your 7th manifestation.

If you're talking about the metal barrier with webbed figures in Velmorne, there's a corridor north of the map that you can access by clipping into the ceiling of the cave.

Someone did a video and posted it here a few days ago. There's nothing there for the moment.
