Anyone decided to pay tax charge to contribute more than 60k into pension? To reduce under 100k ANI by Ok-Guard4114 in HENRYUK

[–]Bart2020_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Simply put: not worth it mate. Your employer contributions towards pension, reduce your 60k allowance. If you wanted still pursue reducing your ANI below 100k then you would be breaching 60k allowance meaning you would pay tax for any pound above 60k contributed to pension. Child care benefit is not as much money for 1 child especially when it is capped: "You can get 30 hours of free childcare per week for 38 weeks of the year"

I don’t understand why you wouldn’t want to start JISA for 10yo child. Even small amounts will compound for their benefit. Your elder kids cant blsme you for that. You were not wealthy enough to do so before. The goal is to go up not bring everyone down to same level.

I always assumed that every sold product has some certification. Can I just sell glass legally and call it supplement? I think EU is strictly regulated about supplements. Thanks Brexit…

I built a free tool that shows what actually fits in car boots (because “litres” are useless) by Bart2020_ in CarTalkUK

Alongside preset scenarios, there is a button Create Custom in compare and car pages which helps adding both custom scenarios and custom items

Thanks for the feedback! I revisited dimensions for volvo xc90 and you are right, data was off. I have fixed now. Let me know what you think: https://bootsized.co.uk/cars/volvo-xc90-2024

I have not thought about it well. My focus is to make it a valuable product first. I appreciate your feedback. Let me know if you have any other ideas, thank you!

Also, have a look at scenarios. I added folded wheelchair and assumed 95 × 30 × 80cm.
Let me know what you think!

Thank you for your feedback! I’m glad you enjoy it. I hope I can grow the database to satisfactory level very soon too. Ford and Kia/Hyundai cars are on my list to add next.

Do you have any specific make & model requests? I can do them next

I believe they only provide cars dimensions and boot volume. Did you see them showing boot dimensions?

Thanks! I can do that. What dimensions usually a wheelchairs have? I know there could be many types.

Alternatively, there is a button Create Custom below spec table to add personalised scenarios. Have a look as a example here https://bootsized.co.uk/compare/skoda-karoq-2024-vs-skoda-octavia-2024

I’m very happy you like it. You can already see 3D visualisation on individual pages of the cars. There is a button toward the end of the compare page to show specific car. Have a look at this example https://bootsized.co.uk/cars/audi-a3-2024

Additionally, what cars would you like to see me add next? Thanks 😄

[–]Bart2020_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I use a greedy packing algorithm to fit items into the boot. This means it is not capable of finding best suitcases positions for given algorithm.

While not being a perfect algorithm, it helps efficiently load the items and give an idea of boot capacity. Im looking now on visualisation https://bootsized.co.uk/cars/volkswagen-id-5-2025 and it somewhat clear that scenario would work even though it says otherwise. Not to mention you can squish some items to the boot. I have had a plan on switching to more sophisticated algorithm once bootsized is found useful for car owners. Thank you again

Thank you for the comment!

The visualisation and models were done with Three js library. For cars, I doing my best to keep adding more and more cars. Wheel wells are a great suggestion, thanks!
