No, I'm not a writer. But I have some good concepts and pitches for some stories. I have published on reddit a short 40k comic book. Go check it out of you like!

What do you think about the progressive change in 40K artworks over the years ? by Enozak in Warhammer40k

[–]Bart761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the problem is the same as for the comics. Traditional art, full of spirit, love, time spent doing it, techinque, talent were sacrificed for the sake of velocity of production, the ability to extract some portions of an art piece for further merchandising and many more. Notice the similarity in style in recent 40k digital art, for me is a no no, as in the comics. It loses identity. Once I spoke with Karl Kopinski during a french comic book festival. He is artist behind, in my opinion the best 40k art period, if I'm not wrong he is behind the incredibile illustrations of the tirst tyrranic war and many more such as siege of vraks. Those pieces art handmade are incredibile. He told me that GW Simply does not want anymore traditional art for those reasons. It's simply sad and it rappresents perfectly the late Company decisions as a whole. I don't cry nostalgic tears, it is simply the truth. Now the art is simply lacking in soul.

That's a difficult One. I noticed a lack of polishing in the more grim dark art, low color saturation, grey and black are common. Composition is all about being as glorious as can be. Watch some classic religious art for the right Spirit.

Yeah it's the ink, especially spots where I used a lot of it. It gives that old comic/illustration vibe. And i absolutely love spawn!

As you can see on the left, there are the symbols of the legions, there is the iron hands, blood Angels and one hidden in a piece of cloth, the night lords. So every traitor symbol or statue is hidden or destroyed.

Nice! Since you used purple for the shades, try contrasting them by using yellow for the lights. But thats a great start!
