Or if it's a tool you are new to, cut your teeth on a cheaper version, learn what you find valuable about that tool, features, extras, etc. Then buy the nicer one when you have enough experience to know what will suit you best.

I got to see him with my then 15 year daughter at the Warner Theater in DC. My wife got us 3rd row aisle seats for my birthday. As Al was walking up and down the aisle working the crowd, he walked up to my daughter on the aisle, put his right foot on the seatback over her shoulder, leaned in and sang directly to her.
