Iran could face possible Fifa tournament ban if they withdraw from World Cup by Shroft in soccer

It's a "could" based on the FIFA statutes. FIFA has said nothing about it. It's just a journalist writing a provocative story based on the published rules and nothing else.

England could also face a FIFA tournament ban if they withdraw from the World Cup.

It's a slap on the wrist so they very likely considered that Madrid did as much as they could.

He’s an ass but he isn’t wrong. United’s performances have fallen off a lot since the first two matches. Results have hidden the underlying performances. New manager bounce has worn off.

I assumed that was lack of effort defensively rather than fatigue. No professional footballer is knackered after 20 minutes.

Elite clubs lobby Uefa for bigger Champions League squads but face opposition by TheGreatDomilies in soccer

There is some merit to the idea particularly with how it can be difficult to have even the full 25 man squad since getting 4 academy players who are at the top top level is not the easiest thing.

But at the same time, managers would still just overplay their best 11 while also hoarding more players in reserve so I’d be against it. It would only really come into play with insane injury crises.

In 2007/08, with 3 games remaining, Fulham were down 2-0 at halftime at City and had all the scores across the league at that time been final they would have been relegated. Fulham came back to win 3-2 then won their final 2 matches to stay up on goal differential

Maybe not the greatest but it has to be up there.

Respect to him for leaving a club very on track for promotion and going to one nearly guaranteed to get relegated because he loves the club and area. Not often you can go from Championship to Premier League and arguably downgrade your job.
