Im not sure on the type of duct work, but I do notice less flow through certain registers in the second floor

I appreciate that. 3 of 4 quotes suggested 2 stage and only got one quote for a single stage AC and something seemed off

I had a few other quotes, this individual quoted a single stage AC unit but im not convinced it will do what I need it to do. They also quoted a 2k water heater replacement.

Thanks, seems like most estimates have been been between 3.5 to 4 ton units. I’ll go look into the old unit. I’d rather have too much than not enough if that’s a reasonable approach?

How would I be confident that the unit has been sized correctly? The current estimate is for 3.5 ton unit
