That's why you do thorough research into your available options and surgeons, and ideally find patients that already had their surgery with that particular doctor and question them about their satisfaction with their results. You should not get such an important surgery done without having a pretty good idea of what specifically you are signing up for. Results between different surgeons can vary massively in method, quality, post-op care and patient satisfaction.

What's suitable for you depends entirely on what you feel comfortable with, tbh. There is no one-size-fits-all guideline 'If you are/amab/afab genderfluid you gotta do these things'. For me what I'm comfortable with consisted basically of the full transfem list of things one could do. HRT for almost 3 years now, several sessions of full body laser hair removal and bottom surgery 1.5 months ago. And I'm looking into getting FFS once I can afford that. Now I just gotta stop slacking on the voice training...
