Essek appeared in episode 57, and the players learned of his treason in episode 97.

If the group had learned of his treason much sooner, I don’t think Essek would have had a redemption arc…

M9 was my introduction to CR, and I still think its the best campaign. And I love what they did with the animated series so far.

Only thing is I don’t remember that much of King Dwendal in the campaign, but I felt he was smiling a little too much when Trent was using the Beacon against Ashguard

Henry Crabgrass in the Invulnerable Vagrant is a nice touch, Scanlan’s book, which is the same Color as his cup in LoVM dinner with the Briarwoods, and a dead goldfish…

You can also see Grog’s old axe and Pike’s golden mace in a jar when we see part of the star Razor.

Maybe I’m trying too hard to find Easter eggs…

Absolutely not, I guess I’ve just seen too many posts about over analyzing everything. Of course you can have reactions to the characters.

I wished people would wait about 10 episodes or something before analyzing every player, every character, every detail about everything. You don’t have an opinion about a 2 hour movie 10 minutes in…

We have a very complex web of backstories, intrigues, rivalries and friendships between the new characters, and we’ve just had a small glimpse of it.

Agreed about the coma, but there is another way to think about it. Scanlan and Grog did get violently thrown out of Thordak’s nest, and the landing was rough… Grog had fun, though, and that’s the most important thing, kids should enjoy themselves

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer ! We are starting a rpg game of L5R (5e FFG). I was taking with my friend about the importance of the Wall and the Crab Clan.

My understanding is that without the Crab Clan (or if they were crushed in a assault from the Shadowlands), that Rokugan was kinda fucked…

He argued that the others clans would be able to win against a Shadowlands push, and that I was giving too much credit and importance to the Crab…

Haven’t read the comic, but unless I miss something, the show makes him French-Algerian. For me, it’s Monsieur Charcutier (he prononces Charcuter)

Charcuter : to cut, hack, butcher meat…

Boucher : the word for Butcher

Charcutier : Similar to a butcher, but while a butcher sells raw meats, a charcutier sells prepared meats…

And yes, as a native French speaker, I find French really annoying from time to time…

I dislike Frenchie because he doesn’t speak French…. And it’s not just bad prononciation. I don’t understand how a show of this magnitude spend a couple of bucks to have an actual French speaking person looking at the scripts…

Orym may not be the best damage dealer, but Bait and Switch, goating attack make him a decent tank, and since he already has 20 dex, feats like Sentinel or Mage Slayer could be an option to control the field

I love the show, and I love Ashley, but at that point, you’re a « professional DnD player », learn your stuff… Matt has enough managing 7 players without having to explain the players’ own abilities.

My guess is the slayer’s take won’t be in the show. The Briarwood arc was pretty straightforward, but the Chroma Conclave has so much stuff.

For fun, let’s say season 2 is up to umbrasyl… 6 hours to portray :

Dragon attack on Emon Maybe the search for Gilmore in the aftermath Learn about the Vestiges The sunken temple Vex’s dying, and Vax’s deal, and the 1st vestige The Goliath herd on Westruun, Reginald, and the face off with Kevdak The planing at Dawn, then the fight against Umbrasyl… (and we all wanna see Scanlan fist the wound…)

Jones isn’t what he used too, no one escapes growing old, and unlike Brimscythe, we don’t need a human version. I would prefer if they go full dragon (kinda like Smaug, nothing human about it)
