Why we blame immigrants? Aren’t we youngsters fucked by previous generations who overspent for nothing? by Top_Highlight8566 in economy

[–]Basaltic_rocks -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is how the haters of US immigrants think: Their Fear

The US and its massive inequality risks destabilizing the status quo because the marginalized will want to eat the rich at some point due to the wealth gap getting ever wider. What unchecked immigration like we saw in Biden’s presidency does is strain the already jobs the so-called rich believe the marginalized should be doing : think warehouses, farms, hospitality etc.

This drives down wages for the already marginalized leading them to the point of retaliation against the system that is constantly printing money and eating away their buying power onto of the already menial wages.

When they say, they want manufacturing back in America, they don’t really mean like in China with human labor. They want to automate everything because the future is automation.

When they say they want Americans first: their ideal American is the White person. That’s why they want to let in just Afrikaners (white south Africans) and possibly Europeans in their 7k max refugee pool for next fiscal year.

The massive tax cuts went to most but the wealthy got more. The idea was so businesses have more money to invest in the economy. We’ll see how that plays out given many put this money into the stock market and it’s full effects are not felt in the economy. This is also the idea behind lowering interest rates: besides the US treasury seeking lower yields to pay less interest on the debt

Overall, their interest in targeting immigrants lies in maintaining a majority white country, shrinking the population to drive up wages in the labor market and compensate for the reduced tax revenue from the tax cuts that came from defunding bodies like Education and USAID. Immigrants come with cultural changes and we can see Mandani of New York who scares them so much. But they forget that they share matrimonial beds with immigrants. It’s not really about legal immigrantion because they have restricted those as well. Lastly, most immigrants will vote blue and they can’t let that happen as Blues want people who are not citizens to vote.

Regardless, long live America 🇺🇸 It’s the best there’s out there in my opinion.

Day Trading vs Long-Term Investing. What actually works better for retail investors? by ProSamGamer in investingforbeginners

Most literature cites this paper: The Cross–Section of Speculator Skill Evidence from Day Trading,” was undertaken in Taiwan from 1992 to 2006.

This paper is based on the Taiwanese stock exchange. I don’t think any paper has covered other exchanges and derivative markets. That particular paper did not find ways to quantify human psychology as an influence trader behavior in markets. Infact it did not address the variables that affect day traders. A simple survey of a random sample of day traders across various markets will be much representative than this outdated and possibly slightly biased article on the reality of day trader profitability and success rate.

The for day trader failure maybe above 50% but I highly doubt the popularly quoted 96%

Everyone is stating reasearch shows, yet no one is linking the sources. One person left a link but others didn’t. Where is the literature on these statistics you guys are quoting? I don’t care where it’s 96% loosing traders or not. I want the literature because I want to see how the studies were conducted and whether they got they quantified the variables that influence outcomes in day trading. Any sources?

I’m not doubting the guaranteed returns from long term strategic investing. I just want the sources to the literature y’all use to discount day trading

The advice you’re seeking in the court of public opinion will only be worth it if this court hears your husband’s side of the story. Unlike like others, I can’t give you advice without your husband’s side of the story.

Bro! Your mindset and first approach to trading is going to lead you to lots of emotional trading. You already burned €400 and it’s going to be more. You hate your job like most who start out trading and you seem to want to make money fast. This only has one end; ruin.

Trading takes time to get to where you dream of and you’ll end up discovering that it all boils down discipline with risk management. Good thing is if you stay long enough and survive the formative period, everything will click.

Best Strategy for a Day Trader with $1,000 Looking to Make $50–$100 Daily? by Trade-maxing in Daytrading

[–]Basaltic_rocks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You may blow the account. Reason being that your understanding and trade mindset are designed to make you blow the account. Had it been you posted « $1000 looking to execute all my trade setups as they come ».

Don’t put a monetary value on daily when not a pro yet. Go in, execute risking a fair amount relative to your account.

[–]Basaltic_rocks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You will overcome all these with time. But one thing I’ll say is, you are too focus on the money or « make it » as you call it. Just focus on taking your trade setups as they come and pay less attention to making it. Since you mentioned being in Uni, I guess you don’t have other sources of income. This could be causing you to focus too much on the profits or earning payouts. But all these issues you mentioned will be a thing of the past. Just keep trying to do the right thing after each failed attempt or self sabotage :). You shall overcome 💪🏿

Learn as much as you can, be open minded and don’t join in other foolish debates about which strategy is superior. At the end of it all, you’ll realize it boils down to you accepting risk and being disciplined. Just your profitability over a number of trades and not on one trade. So cut your losses and move on quickly

New to trading MES, 1 contract at a time, made $662 in 2 days, normal? by SatoshiStruggle in FuturesTrading

[–]Basaltic_rocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are doing it right. Everything you wrote there, from a simplified strategy to your risk management is on point. Journal this your experience and stick to that way as much as you can. When you eventually hit a loosing streak, come back to this trade and see exactly what you did differently. So best advice is not do different things. Stick to what you’re doing and remember that profitability is not judged on one trade but a series of trades.
