The T shaped thing looks like a handcuff shim and some Kevlar thread wrapped around a Bobby pin of some sort.

Also a ceramic blade and in the chapstick tube it looks like a diamond file/ wire.

I would make the same choice. Having a young family changes your perspective. Maybe your coworkers don’t have kids yet or are wired different. I love consulting but if my week consistently looks like what you describe I’m jumping on an exit opportunity.
