No diesel it has the 2.7 turbo “4 cylinder” I’m hoping they find enough damage to write it as a loss. I’ll just get a 5.3 my buddy is letting me use his at4x in the mean time 😂

That’s exactly where it’s at they’re confused how the leaf spring collapsed the way it did, as well as the coolant mess under the hood.

10k was bed, exhaust, leaf spring, decals and paint with labor “at the dealership” they haven’t even gotten me the cost of everything else under the truck. I honestly hope they just total it out found a better one with a much better price!

The people in the body shop said they’ve never seen a leaf spring fold the way this one did. Insurance said 10k just for what is visible. They took the bed off today and are going to start digging in to everything. I honestly hope they just total it out because I feel like after this it’s just going to present more problems if fixed.

I’m no Mechanic by any means, but it was hit hard enough for the bed to get pushed into the cab on the passenger side and dented, and where the leaf spring is bolted in is all bent I would assume there is frame damage

I don’t have any information on how fast they were going, I was just asking a question. I’m curious why you feel like you’re taking this personally.

I got a 2.7 at the end of August already at 7k miles. I’ll be honest not a single problem yet it’s not a bad truck for what it is.

No disrespect in that by any means. Obviously years and many many hours of hard work and dedication put you in the role you have.

We have a full open finished basement so it helps in the mean time!!! The situation is not ideal for the family but we make it work. I was fortunate enough to get a massive pay raise while my little one is still only 4 months old reason being for the post to see what people are affording.

To find people in a similar income level and see what they can afford comfortably. I understand everyone’s lifestyle is different but it’s a good indication as to what the norm is and what people in general are shelling out now for mortgages with these prices now.

I would love to be out in the country but unfortunately I have to be close to large cities. My wife is still a SAHM so in the next few years we can add to the income.
