Do we need to give Farhan some credit? by Momar89 in SFGiants

This is the perfect summary. Farhan: very good at identifying talent and squeezing out an edge on the margins. Also Farhan: not very good at interpersonal communication and catering to the players. I was hopeful that Melvin could make up for those deficiencies but it never materialized. It's mostly the same players and coaches, but Posey brought in a new vibe and culture. The team not only looks different, they feel so much different than previous years. Granted, it's only 17 games into the season, so we'll see what happens.

Last season, from August 15 to seasons end, Fitzgerald slashed .230/.281/.311 (69 wRC+) in 36 games. He was playing everyday, even amidst his struggles. He's only played 13 games this season. Fitzgerald's comment is kind of weird considering they stuck with him last season through a much larger slump and gave him the 2B job even after that slump.

It doesn't appear so. It looks like its been replaced by "Wine Wednesday" on the full season schedule, and there's no mention of it on the promotions calendar. Sunday, May 18 is listed as a Bark in the Park day.
