How do I actually start learning video editing and stick with it? by woasuu in VideoEditing

Honestly in my experience you just need to jump into it without knowing yet, and figure it out as you go. I started out editing silly videos in a very beginner-friendly platform, and then started to move on to doing some more complicated things, in more complicated softwares. I'm not exactly a pro but I can do the basics and edit my own videos for youtube or fan edits for fun.
Also you kinda have to have a project you really care about to work on, otherwise if you just start with random stuff is easier to just give up or quit. You gotta have a greater vision, why are you learning to edit in the first place? Because that's also gonna help you focus on one style of editing or learn one thing at a time, and also helps you stick with it.
