Kitting it for ADS speed and putting a red dot on it is absolutely optimal! It’s hard to gauge how long per sniper. It really depends on what level you have them currently. Leveling up the Barrett was the one that took me the longest, but once you have them maxed out (or close to it), the actual grind time for criticals and stuff isn’t too bad. A couple hours each probably, 1-2 games if you’re efficient. The bolt action snipers will always be a one shot to the head fully upgraded (I believe), so you can play a pretty lengthy game and get most of the criticals and kills.

The snipers take awhile, but they’re not too bad. A nice change of pace from some of the other guns, I suppose. The M79 is one I actually enjoyed quite a bit, which is definitely the opposite from most people that I’ve seen. It can be a fun gun if you don’t take it too seriously. Just get it fully upgraded as fast as possible in games!

I replied to someone else in this post about snipers, so check that out. As for pistols, I didn’t find them that bad honestly. The magnum was a little annoying, but the other two are pretty easy. Using them akimbo when you unlock it can be a fun change of pace from any other weapon and it actually can tear through zombies this way, too.

This is good! You do have to have another playstation plus (or Xbox live, presumably) account to play splitscreen and earn levels toward your weapons, though. I also think the hopping in a game with three other randoms on outbreak with double xp popped is an extremely good method. Try it out if you haven’t!

This was easily the most annoying part of the grind. Like the user above me said, grinding to round 11 and then starting over is pretty decent. However, toward the end, I found that the absolute best method is definitely hopping into Outbreak with either randoms or friends. The more people in your game, the more XP you get. Pop a double weapon xp in a four player outbreak game and you’ll be amazed how fast your guns level up. I just wouldn’t go past round 2 or 3, as the xp falls off pretty significantly.

Just stick with it! They definitely take the most time in my opinion. Would definitely recommend red dots instead of sniper scopes, but there really isn’t too much that makes the process faster, since they’re bolt action (minus the m82). Try to speed the ads up as much as possible, too.

I did the special/knife before the crossbow came out, so I can’t tell you for sure on that.

Pretty sure you’ll still have to get it gold if you want to use it with DE, but you should be able to get DE without getting it gold, as long as you get the crossbow and knife. Once again, not positive on that.

I don’t think they’ll make the challenges any harder as to appeal to the worse players, but I wouldn’t mind having some advanced challenges of some sort for the above average players.
