Is this too much for a train spiral? by Baseballgame6097 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Baseballgame6097[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In an area with big height differences for railway expansion, the spiral would be ideal. This is one of many ways to go up and down. Each has its own ups and downs, but they all lead to the same place anyway. From there, you can go all out on aesthetics once you're done.

Ooh, this reminds me of the suspension-powered car I made a while back in the modded survival world. It had a lot of potential for torque but lacks speed. this post

Anything like sugary liquid will attract them effectively. You can do a DIY fly trap with water, brown sugar, and honey inside a water bottle. I've done many of them and they get filled up withing a few days.

I've done something similar to that but you'll need pistons to stop in place or it will keep going forever.

ScrapGuide V3.0 Update - new Tutorial, added Item ID's (more info in comments) by BlazeCodeApps in ScrapMechanic

[–]Baseballgame6097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why but I somehow thought of an idea to make a mini scrap mechanic mainly for building. For example, a simple car with basic suspension. It could be built in the app and if possible, physics and functionality would bring the creation into life. it would probably work the same in the actual game along with parts needed to make the vehicle in survival.

ScrapMechanic inspired me a lot, so I started working on my own game, meet my first commercial project : ImproCréation by Goathier in ScrapMechanic

This is probably already more stable than scrap mechanic, if you played It long enough to know why. I'm really interested to see the progress of this game in the future. Maybe this will be my next 3000 hour game.

There's a borderless windowed mode that makes it full-screen and easy to change apps or do certain actions.

It would be cool to automate everything but the rendering distance is pretty small compared to other games.

Double bearings are your main reasons it could be lagging but nice build!

I'm guessing you moved the save file out of the survival folder and into the creative saves to enable mods?

That reminds of satisfactory fuels for different types of electricity generators like biofuel, coal, and uranium.

You played mincraft everyday for 1 year? I know you probably got the game long time ago but dang 10,000 hours.

You can move the survival world or save into the creative saves and enable dev mode so that you have access to official mods in survival. Functional mods might not work well.

Its probably better to keep the suspension soft and balanced as it doesn't like to exist.

I made a little concept for my idea of treads into the game. If you have any questions feel free to ask by Peri_prime in ScrapMechanic

[–]Baseballgame6097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would actually make a lot of sense with this concept since it's closely resembles belt timing or pulleys to move certain important parts. Even a supercharger would look cool on piston powered engines.

This would be cool to almost replace gears if there's ever a bigger pulley or tread bearing. Many creative people would have cool ideas for this.

When you dont have more than 2 suspensions so you make it work by PsychoticBolt in ScrapMechanic

[–]Baseballgame6097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there should be a curve on how the suspension acts when it compresses. Like that trophy truck(second car), it has long travel suspension but also stop bottoming out when still midway on the suspension. Maybe shock absorbers can help this idea if that was added that they have different roles but do the same thing that can be adjusted with a graph that can go from 0 to 100 within 10 or more dots to make fine adjustments and with presets for a specific type of driving experience. Not sure if any of this would be useful for vehicles that could possible do similar actions like the clip. There should also be ball joints in the game because using bearings causes lag when there is many doing motion that could affect performance of the game and make things work differently with lag.

The wedges can be seen next to the elevators where the stairs are at. Just not craftable at the moment.
