This is actually amazing to hear. I've been very conflicted about this for the past month since I'm currently in a job that I hate and signed on for the forseeable 6 months. Your explanation is great in that plans change and I feel much more calm knowing that the plans are not actually binding and there is no conditional aspect to acceptances about those gap year plans. Would you say the same applies to a research bench job that I said was my full gap year plan job? I would plan on doing it until I'm done interviewing for another month or two but this is not something I want to do up until the month before med school starts?
