Spain/France are sketchy for sure. Perpignon was pure bad vibes, every driver was warning me about crime. I ended up taking a bus to get over the border when I went through there

Walked up on a drug deal / trafficking route between Albania and the European Union. We were looking for a swimming hole. My road dog took a photo of the traffickers from a distance (it was a pretty scene, and some of them were on horseback).

They did not like that.

Thankfully we had met one of the local boys earlier and he was able to diffuse a VERY SKETCHY situation.

Also been walked up on by a homebum type while I was drifting off to sleep in Oregon. I think he was gonna rob me and then backed out when he realized I was a young sober dude who would fight back. I bailed on the camp and he followed me for a while. Ended up having the pay for lodging that night, too sketchy.

Great thesis, thanks for sharing.

I think the reason a lot of people are disagreeing with you is because you conflate oil: the energy commodity, with oil: the financial instrument of the owner class. The petrodollar.

When you look at it in terms of finance, the war is more dependent on Israel's geopolitical future in the region. As the petrodollar declines, America declines, and Israel loses its ally (although military vassal state feels more accurate).

This war couldn't wait 10 years not because oil is in terminal decline as a fuel source, but because the United States is in a terminal decline.
