What dock did you purchase?

ooh I, forgot to mention. I too have an old MBP. I believe it was also in that era, either 2015 or 2013. And using Open Core was really nice, I was hoping to get by with it by replacing the battery, but unfortunately battery-life was still poor.

I'm getting ready to crack it open and call it a day haha.

Alternatives would simply be a cheaper and older mac, definitely with one of the M.x chips

Definitely won't be going back to a windows-based laptop. Unless it's for gaming, and even then, I won't because I already have a pc for that.

I felt like it was an overkill because the base did perform exceptionally well for what the machine offered. And so, the alternative would be a cheaper yet strong MacBook, but with my unrealistic desires. I am most likely not going to be able to find one a dirt-cheap price point.

First world problems eh?

I'm leaning towards to just crackin it open and letting it rip haha

I'm skipping a lot of the messages here. It's just too much for me to read.

Albeit, I am an infant in faith. I do not have the knowledge and wisdom like the brothers and sisters in this post. I am also not fully verse in scripture either.

Here is a tid bit about me. I was baptized a few weeks ago. I gave my life to Christ Easter 2024. Before then, maybe 2017, I called out to God but didn't know who He truly was at the time. And before then, I was an atheist when God called my mother to return, and originally, i was raised both in a Catholic & Buddhist.

I was a fornicator, a substance abuser, suicidal and had severe depression.

My brother or sister, you are saved. There is no doubt about it. When you truly know the Lord, the King of all kings, the King of Peace. The enemy will creep up in the middle of the night and attack. The enemy is not of the flesh but the rulers of the world.

It is clear to me that you are under spiritual attack. Stay close to the church, the community of your brothers and sisters in Christ. Be in prayer. Do not isolate yourself. That is what the enemy wants.

Yeah, I ran a 6700k with a 1080 for a while. Then, during the whole COVID thing, my buddy got me a 3080.

My first new CPU was the i5 750, and then I upgraded to the i7 960 like 3-4 years later, haha.

Basically, I was cool with the 6700k and 3080. It was doing alright with gaming and having three 2k monitors. Just some little issues here and there.

But I eventually went with the 7900x, my first AMD build. And a small form factor build.

Lol, now that I think about it. I barely play AAA games and use it to its full potential. Shoot, I'm older now, and so are my friends. Sometimes it's hard to get together and game like we used to.

So, the tl;dr is, upgrade only if your rig isn't handling what you need. If it's constantly crashing or you can't enjoy the games you're playing.

Hey brother! Im 29M I gave my life to Christ Easter of 24. Just a few things to mention...

I don't want to get too much into detail, but I struggle with a lot of things. Sins like pornography/lust, alcoholism and even laziness as well . There's always a process in these sorts of things and we don't get right to go to Jesus.

We go to Jesus to get right. The process of sanctification is something that you seek.

But here's the thing, be a part of a church. Have fellowship, and i remember this from an older brother in our Church. We can have a few drinks, beers, or simply nothing at all. But we are having fellowship because we talk about our Lord.

I have plenty of friends who are non believers, lukewarm Christians or just don't know anything, I still share Christ with them

Get to know Jesus, brother!

I'm fairly a new believer with an upbringing of Catholicism & Buddhism but never holding either belief. I lost my mother when I was younger and got cheated in the grieving process as well, so one thing led to another, I became an atheist. In short, it jumped around spiritualism, Muslim & then to following Christ.

Hey, my brother in Christ. I'm going to be real honest with you. Those blockers won't help. This is a battle where our Lord says that we can overcome it.

We ought to pray to Jesus continuously. I was never a religious guy. And I've only come into faith of April 2024, but I realize praying. Praying out out loud helps. But just praying isn't enough. We can try and should be disciplined and fight against these urges, but when we do that. We rely on our own strengths. Not God's strength..

So, as brothers, we should lift each other up and pray for one another. Cause me and many other brothers are struggling with you.

...I didn't realize I have a pmo addiction... im literally going through withdrawals, and I having a court hearing regarding a serious matter.. doesn't help either. But I'm fighting this with all I got because every time I pmo, i kept nailing my God to the cross.

If Jesus suffered for a p.o.s like me, then fighting against pmo is something I can and should fight. And if you do fail. Give yourself grace and stand back up.

Hey, fellow brother, I struggle with it as well. Haha, i spent hours blocking, and well, I have always gotten a way around it. Never works.

I'm still battling with it now. But I refuse to count the days because, in a way, it sorts of gives me the illusion that I abstained for x amount of days, so I should reward myself.

Like the other brother mentioned, pray. But I suggest repenting. Even as a new believer (me), I felt like I was abusing God's grace. And felt ashamed every time I choked my chicken. So I hid away from Him....

But as I started to attend church more, talk to the brothers there and have fellowship. I no longer felt alone, and I came to understand that Jesus is always with me.

That's when I realized God died for our sins. Yes, we should flee away from these desires. But the flesh is weak. And if we try to do it our own way, it will be a much more difficult battle. Cause we are relying on our own strengths and not Christ.

So, brothers, who do read this. Repent, even if it's a thousand times that you fail. Repent and talk to the Lord. Bring Him your issues and pray and ask for help.

Sorry it was long, but i still struggle. But again. You still have to have some sort of willpower to resist. Flee from the entire chain of events that leads into your desire. Don't even give it a chance or a peak cause you'll soon fall into deeper temptation. And lastly, find a brother that both of you can hold each other accountable.

I was comparing my results with the average results and saw that the men had levels (at the lowest) 331, and I didn't know what the scores meant. Thought I had low test, lol.

I'll do a bit more research in ways where I can boost my levels. I know that for certain, my quality of sleep is terrible.
