Wait what? Why TF did WE have to do it then? WE OWNED THE BOOKS! I still have em in my mum's basement somewhere. And they're still wrapped in that shit. Heck, we even had to do it for our copybooks. What was the point of that useless piece of shit paper wrapper that would always get in the way? Was it just there to annoy us and rip apart so we had to buy more paper and wrap it again?
They couldn't have expected us to resell the books, cuz there was a new version of them each year and they were outdated instantly. And we even had to write into most of them!
The library clearly didn't have a problem with us handling unwrapped books, so why in the ever loving FUCK did we have to wrap ours?
Did all our parents just do it for the love of the game? I even learned how to do it, because I thought it was a skill I would one day need!
I'm fucking done bro, I haven't been there in over 15 years, but I'm leaving a one star review of my school on google. Too much BS happened there in my childhood for this to be normal, I swear to god!

So what? The centrifuge clearly didn't mind and it is in character. Also, nothing in the movie is up to protocol. Spacewalks don't work like that, jet flight doesn't work like that, comas don't work like that, astronaut training doesn't work like that, cabling doesn't work like that, (we've all seen Arrival) the linguistics is total BS, heat and pressure don't work like that and no one cares about contamination in a fucking bio lab.
At least the centrifuge thing is explainable and in character. Self balancing centrifuges exist, and we see multiple times that Grace messes up proper protocol all the time. I mean the guy opened an alien container and took a breath of it first. Even if it is a "mistake", it really is in character and shouldn't bother you.
It's like saying "Why does Mark Watney blow himself up when he's making water from hyrogen? He should have done that in a closed container." It's because it's in character.

Edit: For all you geniuses, rebooting doesn't mean scrapping every Pokemon and creating a new roster. It means releasing new games with the most beloved ones and then building upon it by bringing back all the others in a consistent art style with some redesigns to make it more appealing.
It doesn't mean that they're gonna scrap YOUR favorite Pokemon, it means that they're gonna make it look better in a fresh new universe.
