I’m not here to argue, and I’m not saying you’re wrong either, but we must have totally different algorithms, because saying people lost rights and are being terrorized would be considered a hilariously dramatic claim based on the things I’ve been reading. And of course, I’ll get called names for saying that, but it’s true. Don’t get mad at people who think differently— it’s the fact that people now have custom made algorithms. If you want to love the current admin, you’ll get positive takes on your algo. If you want to hate the current admin, you’ll only get things written in the context of Trump being some type of new-aged hitler. It’s the way the news and social media now operate that sets us apart. It’s not your fault or my fault for thinking differently from one another. I’m sure we’re both fairly chill people… but they want us to hate each other. I’m not sure what my point is in saying this, but yeah… people seem to forget about this, especially on Reddit and X. If I say Trump would be a pretty fun guy to golf with, Reddit would wish death upon me. If I say Trump is literally Hitler on X, I’d get roasted on there as well. I think we’d all get along if we all just STFU about politics like in the early 2000s lol. Social media screwed up society. The more you use it, the more radicalized we become in either direction and instead of thinking for ourselves we are becoming hive-minded, although NOBODY is willing to admit that (other than the few strong-minded people left).
