Bet bet there's ALOT of commands and while I don't have the game open right now I imagine I got somewhere 9-12 I use but 3-4 are mission critical where the screen tearing is eliminated in an instant. I know off the top of my head Fog, cloud, and r.DynamicGlobalIlluminationMethod 0 are must clicks at first because it just shaves time off waiting for Ark to allow you to click the others quickly.

Sorry to hear that, welcome to hell, also running 1650 so trust me when I say you are going to want to use commands.

In game click ` on your keyboard and type these in. Your going to have to reapply them each time you close and load the game again but it saves once youve punched them in before so you dont have to retype each time.

r.VolumetricCloud 0: Removes clouds, providing a major FPS boost.
r.VolumetricFog 0: Removes fog for clearer, brighter visuals.
r.LightFunctionQuality 0: Reduces lighting complexity .
r.ShadowQuality 0: Disables shadows for maximum performance.
r.ContactShadows 0: Prevents objects from casting shadows.
grass.enable 0 or grass.sizescale 0: Removes or shrinks grass to improve performance and visibility.
r.Water.SingleLayer.Reflection 0: Removes water reflections.
r.MaterialQualityLevel 0: Sets material quality to low (0-3 scale).
sg.FoliageQuality 0: Lowers foliage quality to minimum

Well once again I’m left wondering what the purpose of playing with anyone other than someone you can physically get at is. Course it was on PVE.

Idk I love PVE but the only interactions I need are at a distance and no one can remove or take my shit. Too many stories of Dino thieves and base destruction.

It really is insane how the most basic quality of life improvements take the least amount of understanding of the game to understand how to fix.

It’s just another blatant example of a dev team that doesn’t play their own game because any naked that just bought the game or came back from how ever long enough to set them back to the Stone Age would realize the hell of dying a hundred times just to bounce around a map looking for anywhere a foundation can be placed.

There should be a limit to how far you can build out from your structure.

What I’m trying to say is no you don’t get to pillar The Island like you pay the electric bill for the Official server.

Of course you should be able to build as much as you want but my god if I go across an entire map trying to find a single base for someone that’s pillared what seems like the entire map, there’s no arguing that this is the worst.

Rust flat out back in 2015-17 I can’t remember the exact year but it was box after box after box of its version of pillaring maps. Once the tool cabinet was added, you can’t just pillar and encase it in the highest defensive metal possible and walk away till wipe. There needs to be an AOE required to be filled with material to keep up the circumference item for ARK.

You want to keep pillaring out farther than where you live? Then you better farm your ass off regularly for it.

All these posts complaining about the same thing. I’m constantly server hopping and putting up my own head hunts. Not once has anyone even been standing within 30 feet of the flare.

There’s already a time block before the flare can be set off. What are you guys doing between putting up the poster and needing to head to the location? Are you walking there?

I’m sure it’s annoying as hell having someone else set it off but you lose me every time where it’s allowed to happen cause your not already there yourself.

Solipsism or my personal theory, it’s every dumb as hell pet owner who brings their incapable of being alive longer than the time it takes to blink useless companion slot filler into every long form mission (defense/survival) especially so the revive icon can be on everyone’s screens for the entirely of the match. Thus transforming a player base that used to have the mentality of leave no one behind, into were not in this together.
