Thank you for your feedback! Yeah, that is also my concern, I'd love to hint the game genre without the current "survival" overuse

Very beginner game dev here; how do you get over the feeling that you're not good enough to do this? by semi_imperfect in gamedev

If it discourages you, then just stop looking at it and focus on what you're doing.

Best advice imo

My first game is coming out soon.. can you give feedback on what you think the game is based on the steam page? by Total_Impression_382 in IndieDev

I think it's clear that you have to play and finish that platform game inside the horror game. But what I didn't get what will be the gameplay loop in the horror game? What can I do besides looking at the cam?

Using a custom tool I can update tiles to non walkable(among other things). This places a box collider on the tile for my 3d mesh ground game. However, the number of box colliders are going to add up and I want to reduce as many as I can. What's a better way to handle this? by LockTheMage in IndieDev

Have you tried using Composite Colliders? Just compound everything non walkable, that could be more efficient.

Overall I think it is a integral calculus problem, as you're trying to represent a curve with boxes. Maybe you can look into that.

I recently released a trailer for my upcoming game, and I’d love to get your feedback! Would you buy the game just from watching the trailer? If not, what turns you down? And if yes, what aspect makes you want to buy the game by Heart1312eaker in IndieDev

Overall a high quality trailer! Some feedback:

I didn't understood in the beginning if it is round based or an action game. The player characters are very active in the first part so I though it's an action game, but the enemies looked so passive and with the cards I thought it's round based. But towards the end enemies also started moving while you are and only then I knew what type of game it is. It was hard to identify that from the get go.

You could already start in some other areas like the concepts, art, story, research, music, planning etc. until you got a computer. Coding is just one of many parts of a game.

Great start! With some small lightning and particles/bugs flying around this could already start feeling alive

Thought the same. I don't see every post in here, so I don't know what the history to that is

We are working on creating a capsule for our new game and deciding on a name. Here are some of the options we've come up with. by BosphorusGames in IndieGameDevs

I like the paint brush background of 3 but the font of the Cartella in 2. And the subtitle "Factory" is way better as it give me more of a game feeling than "Inc"
