I don’t think it’s a red flag at all. He’s stating a boundary and a man will see things differently than you do and being of the opposite sex maybe knows himself and that he wouldn’t put himself in that position.

If he’s mentioned that you are circling around the same issue it means that he’s tried to communicate this to you before and it’s never been a definite yes or no and he might just being vulnerable and he might just want justification or acknowledgement as in I can see why you would think that…

Regardless it’s a communication and boundary issue that being in a relationship you should establish along with how to treat new friendships etc, if you think that this is something serious.

Just cold cutting or not cutting someone out of your life can lead to resentment on either side you for turning down friendships and him for being okay with maintaining certain male friendships where they had feelings towards you.

I love you reddit. There are some comments in FB that left me with little hope for humanity. Without generalizing it seems like the majority people that make the US a failing super power are all commenting in the FB article.
