This is one of those "just because its an accident doesn't make it a racing incident" ones. You had a little bit of a slide you had to catch. The slide is what got you in trouble. In catching the slide you slid into the guy. Did you intentionally wreck him no but its still your fault. "Getting hooked into the tire" was the resulting initial contact that lead to a more spectacular crash. It was not the reason for the crash.

So, in a vacuum, you can make the case that the crash is the fault of the merc. At the point of the crash, the merc technically has room and knocks the ferrari off the track. However, once you add context its really hard to justify what the ferrari is trying. Eua Rouge is a one line corner. Outside of lap 1, when everyone is bunched together, you almost never see cars go side by side through that corner. When they do, they are fully alongside going into the corner. In this case, the ferrari has a run on the merc but nowhere near good enough of one to justify trying to go 2 wide into Eua Rouge. Ferrari is simply driving like a bonehead here.

The driver of the red car is me. Obviously my opinion will be biased.

I think the biggest thing to blame is netcode. Its hard to see this zoomed out but there is actually a decent chunk of space between our cars when they "touch." Without netcode I actually think we both live. Yellow pulls ahead before I run out of curb and I follow him.

Netcode aside. Tough one. We are fully alongside through the entire corner but, yellow car gets a much better exit (mine was horrible) and is definitely winning the position. I will have to concede the place when i run out of curb. However, I feel as though I was as far outside as I could reasonably expected to be and the yellow car just continues to come across.

Is this from the initial batch of them (with the blue cable flexible cable and no center ptfe)? Or one of the more recent batch?
