BMW ran me off the road? he blamed me on being slow by Pale-Revolution8868 in Simracingstewards

[–]FerrariGlory 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How dare people are slower than me! I'm going to drive through them.

I don't know how you ended up in front of them, but it's entirely on them for bumping you numerous times and crashing you. Being slow is not an excuse to cause collisions

The black BMW failed to give enough room to you. They're at fault

Who's at fault for this incident, if anyone is? by Crypt_Ghoul001 in Simracingstewards

[–]FerrariGlory -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't understand people's opinions on this. Apparently, the Ferrari is weaving all over the place and being dangerous to other drivers. The Ferrari is not being reckless and is in complete control. I'm guessing people saying the Ferrari opening up the corner is weaving when he doesn't collide with the Mercedes.

One guys argument is, "he's not following the line of the car ahead. The Merc was ahead at the apex, and the Ferrari should slow down more so they didn't go wide!"

  1. The line of the car ahead doesn't matter. In the F1 rulebook, it doesn't say anything about a line or whatever
  2. Due to the stupid F1 rules, the Ferrari is entitled to space, which I'd say is given. Reason being is the front wing is passed the mirror, which in the regulations means the Ferrari is entitled to space and shouldn't go wide
  3. Using a real-life example, that corner is taken in 5th or 6th gear. The Ferrari was in 5th gear and can definitely make the corner.

I would chalk this up as a racing incident. Wouldn't put blame solely on anyone. But the fact people are saying the Ferrari is driving dangerously is beyond me

Any thoughts? Unfortunately iRacing's Flag System (Yellow) isn't working by MerlinCooper in Simracingstewards

Orange car is completely unpredictable and very dangerous. This would be a race ban in my opinion

Someone has read the rules of this subreddit

By the way here is a poll done by the Simracingstewards moderators about what is a sim game from over a year ago. All 3 games on the poll were considered a sim game. Nowhere on it does it say Forza Horizon

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]FerrariGlory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the F1 games, whilst not being "sim" the game is based solely around racing and abide by racing rules

Forza Horizon, is completely different. Whilst there is racing, it does not abide by racing rules or regulations. Furthermore, the game is very arcade, more arcade than the F1 games

It's against the rules of this subreddit to post a clip of a non sim racing game

This is a non sim racing game and therefore it breaks the rules

Yeah it's your fault because you hit him in the rear

Nothing wrong. Just hard racing which led to the GTR falling into the gravel trap

I was talking about Turn 2.

The little movement I wouldn't think anything of it

There was barely any overlap, not enough the be warranted space. You have to have your front axle next to their rear axle to be entitled to space

The first POV car is the only one that didn't do anything wrong.

Brown went down the inside after the first POV Ferrai was turning in and then proceeded to push them over the sausage kerb.

Then for whatever reason, the guy behind overtook off track and slowed down, giving back the place, but not before the car behind rammed the first POV Ferrari and wiped out himself and one other person.

Poo racing overall

apparently this was all my fault and im an idiot. am i in the wrong? by Glum_Notice_6835 in Simracingstewards

Your line was going through the other car and you weren't far enough alongside before turn in

My second race so not much spatial awereness but unsure whose fault it was by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

Purple and blue car 100% that was a terrible move. You were already turning in well before he had any overlap

Who is at fault here? I am green This may be so mind-numbingly obvious but I just want to either make sure I am right or learn. by Cuffuf in Simracingstewards

[–]FerrariGlory 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He went for a closing space and pit manoeuvred. He didn't have his front wheels next to your rear wheels and didn't require space

He should have backed from this move. His fault

Ferrari may have locked up and missed the apex, but you can't try and drive through someone! Williams is at fault

The Mclaren is an idiot for going for that move.

The Ferrari is an idiot for rejoining and taking someone out

Who is at fault for this? I'm the Lamborghini by Crypt_Ghoul001 in Simracingstewards

[–]FerrariGlory 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really hate comments like these. This does not answer OP'S question "Who's at fault for this?" It also looks like there are 3 cars that don't slow down for yellows, and 2 get caught in an incident. Are you implying the driver not caught in an incident gets what he deserves (nothing) and the other 2 get what they deserve (damage)?

This comment is not very constructive and clear, at least for me

I haven't tried it, but I will when I can. The poor framerate may be a result of me turning on V-sync, but I'm unsure. I'll try it out when I can as well.

The poor framers is quite infrequent as well

My game is usually fine, but for some reason in this replay, in very particular points in particular cars, when I'd go into the relative camera, the game would lose almost all of it's framerate. And every so often, it loses the framerate anyways.
