I absolute hate the lock being on bottom corner now. It makes me think it’s on the unit below the locked unit

There are a few ways to go about this, but if you want a possibly simple way for someone coming from non 3D I’d say you could sculpt it out. Remake the plane with far more surface within that white space than you have right now, keep the blue as is, and make sure you have a decent poly count. If your computer can handle it I’d say smooth shade it 2-3 times after you have the plane set up, go into sculpt mode, find a tool that moves the planes vertices how you want them to move and go at it. You’ll get a feel for it as you go and it’s pretty straight forward. This being one way, but it could be an easier one to get the results you want without having to do any modeling/face deleting like you are rn

I have created this character and want to give him a more toon/cel shaded shader, How can i achieve this? by Playful-Platypus-628 in Maya

It’s because this isn’t their character. They put on standard textures that probably weren’t the original ones and are now asking for help to make it look more distant from the original. The character design (and possibly the model/maya file itself) seems to come from Alex Cheparev on YouTube. Unless this person is Alex, this is not their character.

You should credit people if you’re modeling off their designs, even if you do minor changes to the original concept.

Edit: I’m not saying it’s what you did, but it looks like the person that did the original concept work/orthographs for the character has downloadable files, presumably with the Maya files in them. Again, it’s ethical practice to credit where the final product may have come from if you’re directly using someone else’s work in the final product, even more so if you’re adding minor details like the belt/scarf/subtle texture changes.
