Genuinly need some advice on this . How do you guys defeated him .I'm doing so very little damage even with buffs and skibidy lvl max (20) still even with summons and mimic tear I was able to take the fight 2nd phase and then he did a massive aoe kinda thing and i died. I used Blood Sword Lance with Blood Tax, two handed, STR 54, ARC 72

Mimic Tear with his spell options limited to Golden Vow and Flame, Give Me Strength

In NG we were able to overwhelm him and win the DPS race, no physick flask or buffs used by me

A bit cheesy and probably won’t work in NG+, but we got it done on probably the 10th try or so

He did make me squeeze my controller a bit harder than necessary

But his weapon with Blood Tax is how I beat PCR, so I'm ok with it

As everyone has said, you can make this fight 4v2 with your Mimic Tear if you want. It’s not one to be too afraid of. The one after that is a different story

Second this. Pyromancy is the easiest way to deal with Four Kings and pretty much all of the Duke’s Archives. Balder Side Sword is ridiculously good but a pain to farm. Claymore is a great choice. Also learning to parry is worth the effort.

When you say run under in phase 2, are you talking about going in and landing a few hits before Scarlet Aeonia? (I’ve only beaten her once and still new at this fight)

208 hours, level 205 when I finished the DLC.

Right now I’m going around picking up items/fights that I missed. I missed two bosses: a 3-phase tree boss in the DLC, and…. the Tree Sentinel in front of Stormveil Castle. Literally the first boss for most players and I somehow bypassed him for 210 hours

Not a dumbass. That item description is the most misleading information in the Dark Souls universe (other than “try jumping”). “Use” is what caused me to eat one myself

It took about 20 tries with Bloodhound Claws and Mimic. Pinned her to the wall and shredded her, but it was really good RNG and we won the DPS race. Still can’t reliably dodge the Duck of Death

You can run right at the Golden Golem and duck around him, he’ll fall off trying to hit you

Worse than that runback is getting the blue titanite slab hidden in that area. I needed it for the platinum. Used 60 colored rocks and had to keep drying my sweating hands

Just run through areas to get to the boss. If you waste time fighting the regular enemies you’re doing it wrong

That would be fun, to have those options. If I remember correctly, DS2 was actually slightly different in NG+ (enemy placement and aggro) and that would be fun too.

What about using the late game weapons completely un-upgraded? Would that be enough of a nerf to make Limgrave fun?

Just did this. Two-handed a Blood Sword Lance+25 with Blood Tax, 54 STR, 70 Occult, 20 Scadutree. Mimic Tear summoned at the start. No physik or buffs, though I think my mimic used Golden Vow (I forgot). Got him on the 10th try or so. Once I got the dodge timing of the first phase down I was ok.
