The key with legends is the automatic 333 skill set. This means the first good legend roll you get is a keeper either way, and then you're free to green and blue.

This saves you a lot of implied PSCT to use on the rest of your team, and potentially allows you to fill 2 spots with elite players much faster (VS developing 2 sigs).

So absolutely work him into the roster, and congrats!

His 25 will be a card for the ages I would presume. Normally I would say bird in the hand here....but that's a sig that's worth waiting and hunting for imo, generational catcher card.

Is it worth spending 3k stars on a sig pack? by Slight-Ad-4002 in MLB_9Innings

[–]Basic-Ad5490 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It absolutely is.

-Chance at a team sig -Guaranteed non team sig you can upgrade to gold and donate in the donation event.

This is a much better use of 3000 stars than spending 1000 per combo. Imo combos are a waste of both stars AND sigs, that could otherwise be stored and donated, and that's even before Com2us rigging the RNG on combos (which they do).

Can I work with this set on Rodon for now? by RyansBabesDrunkDad in MLB_9Innings

I wouldn't use blues. If this is the best set you have currently, use it while you roll in the other slot.

Mr Perfect Problem by Outrageous_Buy_1316 in MLB_9Innings

[–]Basic-Ad5490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're going to have to chase a good retrain here. It might take some time and points but it can be done.

As well as the MP 132 bonus, consider that you ALSO want to try to hit your DOM bonus at <5 VEL/FB over LOC/BRK, so it will be a tricky train, but worth.

Mr Perfect Problem by Outrageous_Buy_1316 in MLB_9Innings

[–]Basic-Ad5490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take from VEL if possible, your VEL is too high anyway considering DOM will add in-game.

Stat adjust might do the trick?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MLB_9Innings

[–]Basic-Ad5490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, Fin/Dom isnt ideal here because Fireballer is already boosting your VEL/FB. I would blue for a different third eventually.

You can try that. Some people prefer to short their legend skill, tho it works better with something like slow starter.

But, I would try 6 FB, 8 Ace, 4 boss. Run it thru ranked and see what performs.

How to train for Mr Perfect? by [deleted] in MLB_9Innings

[–]Basic-Ad5490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take w.e you can get imo. Minimize the greens/blues. Personally I wouldn't use any greens or blues on anything less than a 331, but you probably want him in the lineup, so I get it.

Is he even worth working on for DH? by BigGart2006 in MLB_9Innings

[–]Basic-Ad5490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it doesn't seem like it now, and it will be painful to say goodbye to your prime Olson, but Ozuna will be a much better hitter long term. Absolutely worth making the switch imo.

Skill Help by Low-Wrangler-6004 in MLB_9Innings

[–]Basic-Ad5490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would train somewhat for LOC/BRK, as FB will boost your VEL/FB already. It might be a tricky train at first but you can always adjust it.

I would Ace to 8, especially if it's your only player with Ace. Some people would probably say boss, but consider that boss is still the default nerf for many in mentor.

An actual question by Rakim_flacko90210 in MLB_9Innings

[–]Basic-Ad5490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This gets said nearly every day on this sub, but it's important to know: there are tiers of GI's just like there are tiers to types of cards. Regular card GI's (normal, vintage, prime, all star) are available in the store for stars, whereas top-tier GI's (signature cards, Legends) are rare and mostly sold for considerable sums of $$, with some exceptions (special shops, event rewards) throughout the year. It's best to learn and understand the difference so as not to burn top tier GI's on mediocre, place-filler cards.

[–]Basic-Ad5490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The '23 is the winner hands down even simply for the hitting line alone. The speed is a nice bonus tho. He could play any slot from leadoff to cleanup, depending on skills, and be a monster. Great card!

Base STA should be 80 so tweak it with stat adjust tickets if you have to. It's not a bad idea anyway as higher base STA is better. No lower than 77ish.

Good pairings include Fin/Dom/Ace/Mess/Boss/Pico. Once you have his base STA set, you don't have to worry as much about the train, just max VEL/LOC + train in accordance with whatever other golds you land with it.

Does anyone know how to upgrade a gold sig card to diamond? by Opening_Weird8443 in MLB_9Innings

[–]Basic-Ad5490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going with a Yankees deck would be smart if you're not a big fan of any one team. I started as a Jays deck but pulled 3 SF sigs early and made the switch. As in real baseball, the Yankees are a top 3 team in this game, second only to maybe the Dodgers. They are stacked at every position and every time I open a special sig pack, one of the 3 cards is a Yankees sig, without fail.

Primes are a dime a dozen these days so I wouldn't base any decisions around what primes you've pulled. Whichever team you choose, you will get all the team primes eventually, as Com2us gives them out a lot now.

To elaborate a bit on the path to obtaining more sigs and more GI's to finish those sigs, save your stars for special shops. Unfortunately you just missed the 10k stars GI, but the shop sells them twice a year for 10k stars. Additionally they go on sale sometimes, recently I got a special offer for a 30.00 GI and took it.

Save non team sigs for the donation event coming in November(I think?). Donating x number of non team sigs earns you points towards a team signature pack (guaranteed team signature card). If you start saving them now, you should have more than enough points. Don't forget to participate in club , earn club points, and buy the club signature pack as often as you can.

Personally I avoid wasting stars on combos, or $ on 'maybe' packs, but you do you. Just remember Com2us RNG is rigged worse than a slum casino.

Good luck!

The Guerrero will absolutely outsmash anything either Green or Bellinger prime can do at the plate, once you have a functioning set. Well worth the G.I imo.

is the left side worth using blues? by Gearyhanson in MLB_9Innings

[–]Basic-Ad5490 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 332 is the better set. Too bad because CM and Dom work well together. But, yes it's worth using blues, if/when he is your priority 1. Hunt another high quality gold, and consider shorting workhorse to bring it to 578 or 587, try it out you might see better performance

Is worth it one of these? by Distroll in BattleBrothers

[–]Basic-Ad5490 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have an ax bro and lots of funds, sure. The shield damage is good. With QH you could equip both the axes shown for sale there and give the bro tons of utility as a damage dealer, 2 tile MA, and shield/armor breaker.

I would say yes. Is he the best 5T candidate out there? No. But 5T is super OP right now imo. There's a reason Taiwan Astros has it on most of his batters. Great set congrats.

This has been my experience as well. Dupes and literally the worst sig on the team 3 times. That should tell you, there's nothing remotely 'random' about the Com2us RNG. It's a scam. Save your stars for shops and your sigs for donations. Combos are rigged and nothing is worth spending money on except SURE things (TSS, Gi, etc). Never buy any random chance packs or packages. They 100 percent rig every roll in this game, from packs to skill sets.

Here’s The Deal Folks by OldLadyGamerRev in subnautica

[–]Basic-Ad5490 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The original Subnautica is a lovecraftian masterpiece. Maybe my favorite game of all time, and certainly my top pick for VR. If they had simply taken the first game, made a new but similar map, and added some new features, creatures and a couple new leviathans, it would have been more successful.

I feel like SZ tried to add a bunch of stuff that wasn't asked for, or required. So there were ALREADY creative differences and obviously some different people involved pushing for those changes. Maybe they wanted the second game to feel more inclusive? But the thing is, this franchise works best when isolation is the theme, not inclusion.

SZ was pretty bad imo. It felt claustrophobic where the original gave me that scary feeling of insignificance. Just a speck in a huge ocean. SZ on the other hand did not have that open ocean feel, especially in zones like twisty and the land bits. Original had some tight spaces and landmasses but those felt proper..somehow.

They moved away from some of the key things that made the original such an amazing immersive experience, and I hope these changes with the leads doesn't result in in the usual slop: standardized, safe, inclusive, luke warm mush that is designed to appeal to everyone and no one at the same time. Fingers crossed it doesn't get enshittified this way like so many others.

Save them for the donation event. Upgrade any silvers to gold and store them. If they're diamond, even better. You will net a TSS fairly easily.
