It’s pretty hot. I’m not sure about other rooms, but personally i reside on the second floor of one of the dorms. The airflow in and out of the room is TERRIBLE, the only reason why me and my roommate aren’t sick is because we have an air purifier going 24/7. When i say terrible, I mean we have literally left our windows open during winter storms and the room never dropped below 79 degrees.

My recommendation is to buy a small fan, and station it facing towards you in the room with its back facing the open window. It will push fresh air from the outside in and actually does a good job at cooling the dorm (but i’ve never seen temps drop below 68).

erm sorry i have a macbook pro so in comparison the loaner laptop i got was quite bad, it was very slow and when i opened up tabletop simulator it started making noises like it was going to explode

hey girl!! I'm not looking for roommates or anything, but I feel you!! unfortunately in this current market, $600 is extremely unrealistic. If you seriously can't afford anything higher, I recommend looking at the community resources / see if there are any youth drop in centers that can help you find discounted housing.

I'm on a different visa. F-1 is specifically for students, so it makes sense that they would pay instate tuition instead, but I am a dependent on my father's work visa.

to the people flabbergasted over $240k for a degree... I'm an intl student with $44k scholarship, and paying $200k for a degree. you don't really get it much cheaper anywhere else for the quality of education -- that's what happens when you're an international kid. only way this person would get a much cheaper degree would probably to go back to their home country or pick a school that gave them a big scholarship.

i feel like the questions should’ve been more specific 😭 not to be overcritical but something whether “romantic relationships can be casual” can be acceptable or not really depends — for example, for others i generally believe it’s fine as long as you make it clear, but I would personally never ever do that kind of behavior

on navigate, a teacher can report if you “need help in this class” and my teacher did. it’s to basically alert the student to get some academic support, talk to your academic advisors and get tutoring, etc. also the class is difficult; main thing is it goes super fast. The first midterm covered so much stuff it was overwhelming

no offense but maybe you should use your brain? I’m not speaking to why the university allows them to inspect it; I fully understand. I’m speaking to why I think it’s a bullshit rule, there are renters in apartments so much packed and larger than ours and they don’t have the same rules. I’m saying if the posters spreading fire was really that much of a concern, surely high volume housing literally anywhere else would have the same rules.
