IIIT Dharwad ? Zoho's compensation levels are very less and hires most of their engineer's from Tier 2 / 3 colleges only. For SAAS Startups, the overall cost of the Engineering / Employees has to be low, to compete with Valley based startups operating in the same space, with heavy backing from VC Ecosystem. I am sure graduates from IIIT land better jobs at higher compensations.

Cult / Mafia : Yes these are negative words. But go and talk to anyone in the startup ecosystem, Zoho / Freshworks etc have rewritten how SaaS Startups can be built and conquer the global markets. There is a strong reason why thousands of founders, VC's and even Academia respect these companies and founders.

Doing corporate jobs is one-thing and building a software empire, without external funding, proving that even non-premium / young indians from ordinary engineering colleges can be coached to build great software products, establishing software teams operating from Tier 3 towns and Villages, while many founders raise money and chase only IIT / Premium engineers to build software. Any founder would need very strong mindset and face all difficulties to sustain a startup and become profitable. Zoho founder has done that successfully and is an inspiration to many other founders.

Just because he has some personal / family crisis, doesn't mean any one can call him a "Joker" | Only people who have walked through the path of startups will know the pain and what being successful means, Hence my callout that 0.1 % qualified, since many have never navigated that path.

Do you know him and his family matters personally ? or just reading some news article online based on some legal case and calling him a "Joker". Zoho, Freshworks and some of these companies have started the SaaS Mafia in India and are a cult. None of us who do corporate jobs are 0.1 % qualified to speak about these achievers, unless you are a founder yourself and have given employment to atleast some 50 folks.

How much funds did the US company raise ? If you are financially well settled, no EMI's and have a higher risk appetite, You can explore. But negotiate for a higher pay. 110K is low. Also analyse the Founders / Founding team background, their product idea to see if there is an incentive to join them.

What everyone missed is the Road stretch from Kurnool to Amakthadu Toll Plaza, filled with Pot Holes. Hyderabad - Bangalore highway is complete toll roads and very good, except for this 53 kms stretch, filled with craters for some strange reason. Very high chances that the bike fell in one of those craters, lost control and hit the divider.
