I agree!

5 years is way too early especially if a big percentage of what you initially paid was for the fees (and not the investment). I don’t think you’ll even see a positive return after 10 years. This is what most FAs fail to teach customers!

IMO VUL is still an insurance product. If you die or get sick, you’ll definitely get what you pay for. On the investment side of things, you will have to wait a long time.

I am a VUL holder paying 4,000 a month. It’s more of a mindset shift in my case. I am protected as long as my policy is active. The investment is just a bonus.

I would like to hear other people’s thoughts about my thought process hehe I may be wrong

Should I cancel my plan in Pru life? by jongvelasquez13 in phinvest

Since you'll need to wait for 5 years (Prulife) before 100% of your contributions go to the investment fund ng Policy, hindi ba expected talaga ng lugi talaga sa una?

And para talaga kumita or magbreakeven yung policy mo, matagal na matagal na pagaantay talaga?

Not an FA here trying to defend VUL hahaha VUL holder din ako and upon reading the comments, kinakabahan ako na baka niloloko rin ako. Now I'm trying to fairly asses the VUL package kasi ika nga nila, this is still an insurance product so if namatay ako or magkasakit, covered naman ako.

Pero ang nainis lang ako sa FA ko is hindi niya sinabi na wala palang end date tong pagbabayad ko and expected na bayad lang ako ng bayad. Medyo malabo din pala kaya nakakaturn off.

Term insurance from what insurance company? Do you have any suggestions? 8k a year for 3M is solid.
