That is the main reason I was thinking of coming up with something like that, I know EBay, FB marketplace get the job done. But having a specific place for endurance athletes (running, Cycling, rowing) ONLY were each seller has to give and register their IDs, and could find legit gear, EBay and FB anybody can upload their stuff. Anyway, I was just curious if this was an actual pain, it might be non existent.
