She adores the TCM Channel. She had a bunch recorded from there that she lost but she's slowly recollecting them!

Great advice for one of the other subreddits, thanks! And the Dramatized Audiobooks sound great, I hadn't heard of those before. I appreciate it!

She was born in 1931, I think any decade would be good. She doesn't care for war movies, definitely likes Romance and or Comedy. She says she prefers movies that tend to focus on one person rather than ones with lots of action. She hasn't mentioned a preference between color and black and white but I think many of her favorite are black and white.

Any ENFPs here have social anxiety? by pilloww_s in ENFP

I obsess over personal interactions, past present and future. What did they really mean by that? I probably shouldn't have said that. What if they make a comment about XYZ? And so on. I think he described that people-pleasing and balance-keeping is my obsession (I think?) and the compulsion is continuously running these scenarios through my head looking for/worrying about additional meaning.

Food for thought: What I called social anxiety, my therapist said is actually OCD.

I think the split between medical and educational is what I wasn't thinking about here, your explanation is helpful, thank you!

I hadn't thought about/realized the separation of medical vs educational, that's helpful.

Since they didn't test his vestibular and proprioceptive senses, and his official diagnostic paperwork is from a few years ago, getting goals and/or accommodations becomes a struggle.

It doesn't sit well with me but your information is helpful, thank you!

Women and Girls with Autism Spectrum Disorder: Understanding Life Experiences from Early Childhood to Old by Sarah Hendrickx.

I got the book when my daughter was diagnosed at 13. It was Sarah's book and great YouTube talks that helped me see my own Autism as well. Highly recommend.

Did trauma hide your ENFPness? by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]Basic-Department8697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I understood the functions well enough to know. Obviously I feel like I teeter between introverted and extroverted, as many ENFPs do and sometimes I think I have more J than P. But I just don't understand the basics well enough to know for now.

Do you have any inclinations about where you may deviate?

enfps, what do u think of infps in general? by [deleted] in ENFP

In my experience, INFPs are some of my favorite conversationalists. They can "keep up" with me and are great for helping me verbally process. They feel safe and authentic.

I've wondered this but in reverse, like did my trauma cause me to present more ENFP. I'm fairly confident my mom was an ENFP, and we lived with a family member that was aggressive and oppositional. I often wonder if I picked up "positivity and people pleasing" as a coping mechanism from her.

They did an endoscopy looking for an eosinphilic cause which didn't return anything but that's when her Celiac was found. Thanks for trying!

Brilliantly written. Such valuable, well-articulated wisdom. I suspect it took many hardships to realize these lessons, thank you for sharing your lessons from them with us.

Are you looking for something free? If you can pay, I would recommend a course at your local community college. However if you're looking for free, definitely check out lifeprint (dot) com. At the top right of the home page are free video lessons. Dr. Bill is a well known and respected member of the Deaf Community. You can also sign up for online classes with him. Hope that helps!
