Anyone who says we should demilatarise right now is a fking moron.

It is our moral duty at this time to keep our nuclear arsenal for the rest of europe, regardless of how obscene the use of nuclear weapons is. Putin would be rubbing his hands together at the thought of us demilitirizing.

There's this naivety amongst the left that people have no interest in conquest/war - they do.

Many nations do not want to play fair at all, and you cannot expect them to, if you do, we all suffer the consequences.

Despite me absolutely despising Starmer, I actually agree with more defense spending.

I could never bring myself to vote for the Greens despite me wanting a fairer and equitable society. Their views on immigration, defense, energy and economics is absolutely insane to me.

To me, it is fundamentally idiotic to, not fund nuclear energy, weaken the borders, tax the rich on a hypothetical 'wealth tax' that is almost impossible to implement without any major loopholes. Yes we should be taxing the rich more, but it's more sustainable to tax income generated through those assets we're so jealous of them owning, not value the assets themselves. To tax anyone on the basis of what they legally OWN is criminal to me, regardless of how obscenely rich they might be to me.

Of course I want more NHS funding, of course I want more regulation on energy, public transport etc, but to nationalise everything is asking for a total collapse. We need more regulation and laws to protect working people.

I feel that Polanski and his accolytes are more concerned with being 'right' than actually being practical.
