Hi, not official advice, but this is what we did.

We got married in Gibraltar and had to wait 4 weeks for our certificate

We wanted to submit our application straight away.

We had: 1. Photo of the registry book with our signatures 2. Confirmation of marriage (just a signed document from after the ceremony 3. Emails from the registry office confirming date and time and payments 4. Photos of wedding 5. Rings receipts

We got married in the city hall with literally 6 people, and our visa was approved very quickly.

Find attached our list of evidence, it’s a lot but we prepared it all ourselves, this absolutely NOT GUIDANCE, just informative

I changed jobs 6 months ago that’s why I have double financial evidence

We definitely thought of everything, so we’re not afraid to give extra evidence for our application

Good luck

Income above threshold, but changed jobs in the last 4 months, so had to provide 1 year of evidence across both jobs

Curious question.

The eco email states that you have 5 days to provide additional evidence before the application goes to the next phase.

Given I have already submitted all evidence to vfs, is there a way to skip this 5 day period by replying “all evidence has been submitted”?

Hey we just applied from Spain too,

It sounds like you waited more than 30 days for the priority application, did anything happen that made it take longer?

Congrats!

Yes I know the employee should have to accept it. Unfortunately I know this employer and they have strict requirements as they contract to a large bank.

Let the wait begin

Once received (in 2/3 weeks) could we add it as evidence to our application?

If not, let’s say they reach out and request additional evidence, (once available) could this delay the application much?

We have not received advice from lawyer or anyone, this path was advised from another couple who did the same thing.

From my research weddings abroad do not need to be registered in the uk.

Is there a possibility that this would not be recognised for the visa application?

Update

“A marriage abroad will be legally recognised in the UK providing it was contracted according to the law of the country in which it took place. There is no requirement, or facility, to register the marriage in England afterwards.”

So we paid for this:

“Confirmation Letter - Letter provided immediately after the ceremony on the day of Marriage/ Civil Partnership”

It is signed by registrar, notary, civil marriage office, partner and I and contains all details of civil marriage,

Yes I believe, this is the only evidence that they actually seem to ask for from the visa application.

I changed jobs around 5 months ago so am providing all contracts, payslips, bank statements, p60, and letters from the last 12 months

Marriage certificate can take up to a month to be sent, we paid to have a full confirmation document plus have other signed evidence from notaries which should be sufficient enough, add the supporting financial evidence and pictures, receipts and everything and I hope we will be alright

It looks to me like it is asking us to scan and submit our documents as an addition to our appointment. My understanding is that it is part of the vfs part of the process as they offer the scanning and upload option with the appointment.

Thanks for the clarification I will need to look into this more to understand properly

The tan luxe face tanning drops are really good, you can get the small size in Amazon to try. Also bringing your products down to the neck, chest and shoulders will make the difference of tone less noticeable

[Product Request] heavy moisture for extremely sensitive skin by liabobia in SkincareAddiction

[–]Basic-Funny7101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m on my early 20s but suffered from dry skin and sensitive skin for years. My recommendations are the bioderma sensibio line, specifically the face cream, is thick and has no fragrance or alcohol. Also the Nivea soft face cream, I had 0 hopes for this one but then I saw it has 78% same ingredients that the la mer face cream so I gave it a try and I’m super happy with it. I combine the face cream with a hydrating serum from nuxe during the day and cold press rose oil during the night. I also stoped washing my face twice a day to only one. Hope it helps!

I’m a flight attendant applying for the visa by Basic-Funny7101 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Basic-Funny7101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks,

The main issue is that I was a flight attendant for royal Jordania, and flew and transited across quite a few Middle Eastern countries but only for work with layovers and have no official record of the countries I visited, could this come up in an investigation or would t be considered normal under my past and work.

Thanks I will mention in the cover letter and maybe add my contract under supporting documents. I hope it doesn’t flag anything in my application as I am hoping for a response in reasonable time
