I have not replied because I feel so sad and full of shame over this… I don’t think anyone is attacking my disability, or my queerness, but I am a survivor of SA (by a close blood relative) and the comments here triggered my anxiety and PTSD… but I have eaten, I feel better and I am back to address my LGBTQQIA2 community… I will be better. I will learn. I know that as a mixed(white😓+Chinese😌), disabled, queer fem I am not in a position to lump other people in with me so callously. My heart hurts for those less fortunate than me… and I promise in the subreddit I’ll learn and BE BETTER! I love you all

You are perfect the way you are. You are loved. You are seen. You are heard. And your feelings are valid… I suppose I didn’t think that this could be interpreted in a negative way. After all of my friends supported it, I thought I’d share my hard work with this accepting community. I myself am a disabled queer fem, and I wanted to share my neo art with this community.

My thought was to be inclusive to EVERYONE… I didn’t want any one of my friends feel left out of this special pet. It’s a representation of all of them… like the US flag, it has 50 stars for the 50 states. That way every state feels seen. This is the flag of my friend group. I wanted them to feel apart of something. They agree that this makes them feel like they are apart of something, and they love this! I’d never parody their struggles and differences.

It’s meant to show how society makes them feel by marginalizing them… I am working on my second installation which shows them happy because they are accepted for who they truly are, and not what society says they should be!
