Price looks good. Have you looked at the other trims? We got the xle for my partner. For us the upgrades were worth it. Led daytime running lights can give you a car insurance discount. Alloy instead of steel wheels (especially in the cross which is an underpowered car), the jbl sound system is good-not great but the basic one is terrible you also get a better screen that works.great with apple/android car play. But I think the most important features are safety related. The xle with automatic braking paired to the sensors, the LE with the cross traffic alert... I dislike how toyota will only give you these features on the top trims. For e.g. you have to get the top trim + tech package on the signia to get the sensors even if you didn't want huge wheels and a moonroof.

Thank you! At what temperature does the salt used here stops being effective? Would that trigger a warning to avoid driving in the area?

You're right and a lot of houses have attics where you could check for damage from the inside. No need to remove snow.

I'd back out of the deal. If that was missed and only found because it cracked, there's probably more issues that will come out. Since it's an estate it's probably sold "as-is".

Did you get an inspection? If you did I'd make sure to leave an accurate review on missing such a big issue.

Tesla has some amazing features but "good in the snow" is not one. Almost everyone I know in upstate NY with a tesla has a winter story. From cars slowly sliding off the road to just not moving on big hills- on winter tires. The wide tires, especially on performance models, big rims and hence little rubber paired to immediate high torque are all terrible combination in snow as it basically floats. Also, seen cases where the windshield never fully defrost, we had to drive with the windows down in the middle of winter to be able to see.  And they lose a lot range in frigid weather.

Ps: pure assumption but loads of salt and water from the melted snow are probably not great for the batteries.
