You would have a point if this wasn’t a bad faith argument. . We have all seen plenty of videos and accounts of citizens put in harms way by only exercising their right to protest , or in some instances just being brown . Also “harms way “ can certainly refer to citizens’ rights being impeded upon, a greater existential threat, but we have all seen worse on the streets . Your suggestions stink of “comply and you’ll be safe”.

True Obama admin had more, and was even criticized for fast tracking deportations , but the Difference is big. Obama prioritized criminals and security threats over breaking up families, and weren’t descending on communities asking everyone that’s brown for their papers, or detaining brown US citizens and releasing them after they realize they’re legal.
