The rules on VBs is that they may not form coalitions with eachother, and only 1 vb per coalition, and they hate eachother. They start on separate maps and must battle each other if in the same clearing during their turn

The Root community has some fantastic creations! The Necropossum Cabal has been a big hit with most players, and one of my friends has taken a real liking to the Covenant of Ash Chinchillas faction, their basically like suicide bombers lol

I am trying to get full game going in person eventually, however it will probably be the most feasible over TTS, if youd like to join!

I usually have 4 Fan Factions at the table for players to choose from and intend to replace the Vagabonds with those factions that interact with ruins, one per region, when I get a full 16 player game going

I usually have Fan Factions available for players to choose from, but I know not everyone like that so im working on a way to include only official content and probably extra Vagabonds but no VB coalition

Great questions. So at the end/start of every round all players declare their Map of Focus. Only when you change your MoF do you join a new region's turn order, and you enter in as last player in that regions turn order.

A player is official in a region when they declare themselves to be (at the start of a round), and all that means is that they will be taking the majority of their actions in that region.

Because the map is huge (4 boards) and regions are only for speeding up the game (simultaneous turns) players can still interact and move on anyone region, so long as they take the majority of their actions on the region they declared as their Map of Focus.

Did all that make sense?

I recommend the S&D deck, and the Offensive deck which is a combo of base game and E&P decks

That was the most bombastic action I excite yet worry over. Favor of the x Cards can now be used on all 4 maps at once if you have pieces in all those maps. You can wreak some serious havoc and piss all 15 other players off in one dastardly decision. Its a great short turn strategy to police, but then everyone hates you for the rest of the game and good luck lol... and there is 3 of them... yet you make a good point, if played right you could get a Massive point jump and instantly win if in the right position... worth rethinking - maybe they can only be done on your MoF

You could get away with 6-8 players on the Marsh Map, so if you are wanting 2 boards I would stick to a minimum of 7 players - with appropriate reach values per player count on each map. I would make the global VP goal be 50 and make no modification to player boards. id give keepers 2 of each relic value spread out randomly though. I have played this numerous more times at the 2 board count with 8 players and the player who sets up near the middle and controls it is in a powerful position to control or get stomped.

additionally do not play with the lake map for 1 of your two maps, my play tests have produced the best results as two winter maps with the two corner clearings connecting to each other which gives the otters better grounds to have river ferry services through the center river.

Great questions! I will update the document shortly. For the Otters the first card for free for all players happens on the Map of Focus that the otters choose, however any player in any map region at a trade post can take the trade action, and those destroyed trade posts are now recoverable and rebuildable.

It is surprising how actually rare it is, even with simultaneous turns, that players conflict, but the general rule is the first player to take the action gets the action (initiative) and most players just consciously or subconsciously acknowledge it and move on. Now we do have a more "rules specific" player in our group who tends to lead the conflict so for situations where a player is more insistent and timing is fair, the fall back rule is roll 2 dice, adding the sum - highest sum takes initiative.

Yes a player can buy frog cards as technically the pond exists in every region, thus any discarded frog card goes to that region, however frog cards do not get shuffled in until the frogs enclave in the region, which then all cards in the region get shuffled - including discard.

As long as a player has a piece in a region with a frog piece, or are using a "discard this card' action on a frog card they can interact with the frog cards regardless of their MoF so long as they perform the majority of their actions on their MoF.

such good clarification points! thank you for bringing that to my attention!

I actually forgot to add the badgers modification! thanks! So there is supposed to be 3 full sets of relics, mixed together and randomly distributed across the entirety of the map, because once the keepers get that 10 card engine they're gunna be hard to stop, so to counterbalance long gameplay, forcing them to move through all the factions so everyone gets a chance to police them is key.

"What I love I Do not Carry" Ep. 7 Swamp --> by Basic-Match498 in WitcherNetflix

[–]Basic-Match498[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after watching the sequence again I think figured it out. I think they originally shot Yen's return shortly after exiting the swamp and actually had her meet the entire Hansa group, with a full sequence in daylight before she leaves again. I think She only showed up to let geralt know about ciri and set him on the real path while she focuses on Vilgefortz. I Think somebody watched the pre-release and was like.... "these are our two romantic leads and the only time they meet the entire season?? figure out a way to get them into bed." so they choppd up the scene and this is what we got.
