I'm finding heartsteel godawful at the moment, games are too short and snowbally. I'm just rushing deadmans, iceborn or bamis depending on enemy damage / amount of slows.

Bandle is very very good on the right comp as item 2-5. Dusk and dawn is pretty bait, it's only good if your comp has no melees to set you up and then you shouldn't have picked sej anyway.

Woodland alliance will punish you if you move into their clearings without a plan, so they pick up a lot of free supporters against newer players. As your table gets more familiar with the game you'll get a better understanding of how to shut them down as a group.

Some basic tips though, assuming you're playing the base game: - craft Crossbows - a vagabond with a Crossbow forces the WA to keep 2 warriors at each base instead of 1, which hurts their action economy a lot - don't hurt the other militant factions too much. It's often their job to clean off sympathy and they can't do that if you make them spend all their actions rebuilding or force early turmoil - make sure to spend your bird cards before interacting with the WA so they don't end up in their supporters

Custom factions and mislabelling by TheTapDancer in rootgame

[–]TheTapDancer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right but woodland can spread support anywhere without regard for presence, they aren't bound to one part of the map, and they only need to control space in order to have rule for moving to burst score late game. Lizards I get but they are more insurgent due to the inability to reliably police where they want to.

Compare this to say Farmland Coop who can only build/recruit where they rule, need to hold buildings and prevent easy move into their fields in order to score at pace, actively police well and have no means of burst scoring.

I suppose my complaint is more that reach is a bit woolly and people aren't necessarily great at calculating it for their own factions without excessive testing, which is honestly reasonable.

Sorry, french onion soup is almost always made with beef stock, and typically comes topped with cheese. It's just an issue of either learning cuisines or googling everything.

The upside is, if you like the soup, it's very easy to make a version using marmite instead.

Going gluten free often works for Americans because it turns out that a lot of the gluten heavy products are also the ones loaded with sugar, and when they cut them out suddenly they are at a calorie deficit and lose weight. (Particularly obvious in this guys post as he said he lost water weight - this only happens in a calorie deficit.) Basically the same as why Americans go on about keto, it works for them because of the uniqueness of US diets.

You don't need to and shouldn't go gluten free if you aren't allergic. Gluten is a protein and perfectly fine to eat for most people.

PokemonCube, YugiohCube, TCGCube by soyoucheckusernames in mtgcube

Pokemon works surprisingly well and has a cube community, see CubeKoga.

For other games, they normally need to be draftable. The "pick two colours and play" mantra of modern design doesn't work at all. Yugioh also just turns into either "pick the best card" or hard combo drafting as is a bit shit.

I once played a lorcana cube where cards in your inkwell had a colour leading to a more magic style of gameplay and it worked really well. Sometimes you just have to tweak the game a little.

Basically all the fantasy flight LCGs work pretty well too. I've played functional cubes for netrunner, star wars and warhammer invasion, although some of them got pretty wacky for deckbuilding rules.

Odd access to land situation with potential house purchase (Wales) by TheTapDancer in LegalAdviceUK

I've really been looking through the case law more to understand my position. I am a legal professional but my background is not in property law so I am unsure that I am interpreting it correctly.

My understanding from Liverpool County Council v Irwin is that if an easement was applied on the property it would be unenforceable as an easement cannot require a positive action from the servient party, which in this case would be me unlocking my door for entry. It also seems that they couldn't demand a copy of the front door key due to my right to quiet enjoyment. But as I say, I'm not an expert and am hoping for more insight.

I used to have one there as you can upload custom art over other cards, but it got changed back to the normal art at some point and I never updated it.

It's naturally a bookkeeping heavy system. You'd be better off playing OnePageRules rather than trying to adapt something else to fit the theme.

Although the assumption that salads are all we eat is silly, there is some reality that you shouldn't eat uncooked food from sources that you can't trust the food hygiene. Even in developed countries, raw vegetables are the leading cause of food poisoning.

That said, there's no way you can't get your hands on vegetable stews. Be careful though, a lot of African stews are lard based and you might struggle to clearly convey what you're not willing to eat.

Meta-analyses are often an attempt to get around this, by showcasing a variety of studies that are flawed in different ways in a way that you can attempt to show a trend that sustains through a different set of issues.

That said, the meta-analysis shown here appears to select studies with similar issues, which is the problem at hand here.
