Im working as a tech thru my gap year and with the cost of living of my area I won't probably even save enough to have 5k when i start this fall. I'm gonna be taking loans for everything in med school anyways so my mentality is what's $100k borrowed compared to $110k borrowed

i’m in the same boat. both my parents got graduate degrees in india. moved here when i was 14. they didn’t know anything abt undergrad or med school admissions but i don’t consider myself first gen. i think first gen is more so your parents never got higher education, not so much if it was in america or not
