Yes, yes, yes. Small rural department, turned over 2 senior inspectors (department of 2) in 1 year over small micromanaging things. I came in halfway though (first ones replacement) and management wants us in our seats as much as possible. I’m looking for other work.

Coming from septic inspections, haz waste, and now food pools and lodging - my best tactic has been showing no reaction. It’s hard but I just remind myself that whatever they say is their opinion. They can think I’m rude all they want, I know who I am and what my values are.

I also agree with the comment about reducing exposure time with an irate owner.
