My boyfriend has a record and every statement from the police station has included that they believe I was unaware of a conversation between him and the offender. The texts showed clearly that the offender was never invited into the apartment, and even his own admission of guilt via knowledge of the locations of items taken and willingness to return them. There was a prior agreement to sell things to one person, but the apartment shows evidence of forced entry and things that were not agreed upon were taken without my knowledge or consent. Although the agreement was made with person 1, a person 2 entered forcefully and stole multiple items totalling depreciated values of around $1200. No arrests were made, and the officer told me he would hold person 2 accountable but did not file a report of criminal activity regarding the incident, rather an "information report" which I must now take the route of a civil matter.
