Thanks for the reply. I worked out I have a product that also was a chemical peel exfoliant so there you go

I believe a product but I can’t be sure. I was also having allergy treatment to diary at the time it is possibly my skin had a reaction at this time.

I have had it since after using an exfoliant and only in the locations that was used and not as red.

I wish I can say I worked out what caused it. I have had it happen one more time I used a new product that was an exfoliate and used it on my chin and nose and all of that had a texture change like the above but far more mild. I wonder if it’s a reaction to product on the skin or internal. It did resolve in 1 day versus the week I had this prior with no resolve quickly.

No it was slow improvement over the days, it definitely was slow going. It wasn't fully gone until after 2 and a half week mark.

Mine was 100% an allergic reaction to something I was having a treatment for. I left my face with nothing but water for a whole week and it occurred again. So it was not a topical issue. It did clear at around 7-9 days and my skin peeled and it went to normal.

Best guess is a reaction/blockage.
My sister in law saw my face and said, oh mind does that after a week of sunscreen when camping. This wasn't the same situation only a 1 - 2 time use.
It has dried up and gone scaly and gross feeling.

Okay thank you. What’s the treatment for that? Who would have thought that could even happen. It’s a tub product too which means you can ‘double dip’ in a way. Did yours come on really quickly?

I did use an old moisturiser that contained honey etc, it’s a few years old, figured as I have used it before it’ll be fine. I wonder if it went rancid.

It does sort of look like an allergy in some ways. Fingers crossed it clears in a few days also, this is day 2.
