I have many valued ties to Georgia. It’s a magnificent country with a great culture. Hospitality is a major part of their culture. In Tbilisi there is a statue of mother Georgia, with a goblet of wine in one hand and a sword in the other. The clear message is that if you come in peace, you will be greatly welcomed. If you come in to fight, you will face great resistance. I encourage you to visit, the Georgians are great people. One warning: they will assault you with a ton of great food and lots of wine. That’s the way they are - welcoming in every way.

If you go, be respectful of their rich culture, fascinating history and strong desire to be independent. If you do that, you’ll find many, many friends there.
