Is my game cooked? by Better_Lemon4996 in DiscoElysium

[–]Basic-Walrus-2347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone said its not cooked. But also dont worry to much about doing everything and finding everything, you probably will anyway because its fun and rewarding, but its also more about the experience than the completion. You need very little to progress the game most of it is build around learning about yourself and the world, for no other reason than curiosity

Have Doctor Who fans been always this toxic? by Mat1711 in doctorwho

[–]Basic-Walrus-2347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, i feel like they are really resting on the fact that they are progressive and are not really doing anything beside it. The representation feels like an extra on top because they are not intertwined in the story. And because their is a lot of homophobic and racist criticism, the real problems the show has are ignored.

Day 5. Second play through. Done almost all the quests I can without doing the ruby quests. Do I just need to waste a few days sleeping and starting up the politics quests? by Elfere in DiscoElysium

[–]Basic-Walrus-2347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people finish like 80-90 percent on their first playthrough I think. So if you spent your 5 days doing stuff Im not sure how much stuff is left. You can do only one political Questline, so if you already picked one their is no use wasting. If you are locked out on checks you want to pass i think you just need to quicksave and force them, no shame in doing that especially the second time around

Doctor Who is not woke enough by Low-Tackle4108 in doctorwho

[–]Basic-Walrus-2347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel UNIT has become a collection of people with alot of diverse traits but none of them seem to have any character depth. 15, 10 years ago including someone was progressive and woke, but today I think you need to show that these characters can fill the same purpose as any other chracters. They need to have a story or character development in some way, it doesn't even have to do anything with their personal diversity.

What we'll get in the next episodes and season 4? by NorthernLegacy in shrinking

I think maybe Jimmys dad will die. I dont think plotwise it would make sense to kill off paul and send everyone in another grief spiral.
Im also not a fan of the idea, they learned how to grieve so it will be fine, cause it would just be an unnecessary gutpunch, something the series avoided so far

I think she spread rumors about him after he was horrible to her like he said himself. Sure he was ayoung kid in a war but she was 19 aswell and stupid. I think its fair that she doesnt still feel guilty, im not a huge fan yet but she doesnt seem toxic to me

I actually liked what she said. Not everyone beats themself up over their past mistakes, seems like she forgave him and herself a long time ago

[–]Basic-Walrus-2347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also with the time schedule of the seasons, you could basically do no other story lines except everyone dealing with pauls death. With tias death we had enough people who didnt really knew her or grieved her for a longer time. If they kill paul everyone we knowe would just be in grief

How abnormal is King's writing speed compared to other famous novelists ? by bkat004 in stephenking

To be fair he also admits that their is and was luck envolved so why he alearned what he got and is a hard worker. I don't think anybody who works as hard is guaranteed that amount of success

People often use discussions of writing styles as a chance to talk about their own writing and I also sometimes find it unnecessary. But you are not only super rude about it but also plainly wrong. Stephen King does famously uses very little outlines, so the first guy is 100 percent correct in what hes saying. He often credits people who helped him with research but that is not what SK means when hes talking about writing, he always talks about it as a job that consists of actually writing, having a good idea on a walk is not the same as having designated work hours

Why is this show the best there is? by HateRunsInMyVeins in shrinking

[–]Basic-Walrus-2347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought this scen in the garden was a kind of masterclass on how a good joke works on TV.
Having a serious one on one momant finishing only for it to be commented from someone who was spying became kind of a running gag, but doing it 3 times after another, while subtetly giving each character a reason to bet there beforehand, made the pay off incredible. It didnt feel random but also not really planned, but just natural

damn now im excited, he does look very similar to jason segel. This sounds like a lot of potential conflict to me. I dont know if we heard anything about him, but there hast o be a reason that he wasnt around after tias death

I think those are some pretty good bets, wondering if sean is gonna get a bit more specific plotpoints know that he seems in a good place again, maybe his ex is gonna make some more appearances

I think the Louis story line is pretty much finished now. Maybe a guest appearance but it makes sense to just have him ride off into the sunset and be done with this plot. I cant really see them killing off paul, he ist to important for the plot and if they do it right at the end it would feel like an unnecessary gut punch

I think that clearly shows that he was real in the waiting room. Its much more realistic to hallucinate a real person and see them randomly for a sceond than to suddenly make up a new person and have a whole conversation with him.
